As you've already determined, this page is going to be dedicated to Highlander: The Series, with a particular focus on the many fascinating facets of Duncan MacLeod.

First and foremost, he is a Scottish warrior, from the Highlands (Glenfinnan on the shores of Loch Shiel), raised to be clan chieftan. He never got over his father's denial of him after he died his first death in battle and miraculously came back to life. His father said he had been taken in by the family and that he was no longer his son. However, his mother, Mary, insisted that he would always be Duncan MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod and that he was to let no man tell him otherwise. This greatly influenced Duncan, who has never used another name. His kinsman, Connor MacLeod, found Duncan and explained to him exactly what he had become. Thus began the journeys of this immortal warrior.
