"Hardball" topped the box office on the lowest-grossing weekend in nearly a year, according to final figures Monday.

The top 20 movies at North American theaters Friday through Sunday, followed by distribution studio, gross, number of theater locations, average receipts per location, total gross and number of weeks in release, as compiled Monday by Exhibitor Relations Co. Inc. and ACNielsen EDI Inc.:


1. HARDBALL, Paramount, $8 million, 2,210 locations, $3,646 average, $19.2 million, two weeks.


2. THE OTHERS, Miramax, $5 million, 2,801 locations, $1,815 average, $80 million, seven weeks.


3. THE GLASS HOUSE, Sony, $4.4 million, 1,591 locations, $2,770 average, $11.6 million, two weeks.


4. THE MUSKETEER, Universal, $3.54 million, 2,500 locations, $1,420 average, $22.6 million, three weeks.
