Up in the future, the rebels, led by John Connor, broke through Skynet's defence grid and won the war of man vs. machine, but before the victory can be proclaimed, Skynet sends a Terminator back through time to terminator John Connor's mother before he's even born. A lone soldier, Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn) is sent back to try and protect her.
