Deidre Hall (Dr. Marlena Evans) - ADDED PICTURES
Deidre Hall originally joined “Days of Our Lives” as the compassionate Dr. Marlena Evans in 1976. Hall left the series in 1987 to focus on a career in primetime television and returned to “Days” in August 1991. She has earned three Emmy Award nominations and three People’s Choice Award nominations for her work on “Days of Our Lives.” She has been named Outstanding Actress six times in the 16-year history of the “Soap Opera Digest” Awards. Hall starred on the NBC drama “Our House” and appeared in many miniseries and television movies, including “And the Sea Will Tell,” “Woman On a Ledge,” “For the Very First Time” and “Take My Daughters, Please.” She has also made guest appearances on several primetime series, including “Wiseguy.” Her stage credits include “A. R. Gurney’s Love Letters.” Hall, who has an identical twin, was born in Milwaukee and raised in Florida. She is married to novelist Steve Sohmer (“Favorite Son”) and they have two children. Hall enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. Her birthday is October 31.
