Jay  Kenneth  Johnson (Philip  Kiriakis)
Jay Kenneth Johnson assumes the role of Philip Kiriakis, a character with perhaps the most unusual parentage in all of daytime television; Philip was born from a stolen embryo that was implanted into the womb of his mother’s archenemy. With his father recently released from a nursing home and his mother determined to destroy the woman who gave birth to him, the young Kiriakis heir has a great deal more than a gambling addiction to deal with this winter on NBC Television’s number one daytime drama, “Days of Our Lives.” A native of Springfield, Missouri, Johnson knew while he was growing up that he either wanted to be an actor or a professional athlete, but once he attended college at Southwest Missouri State where he majored in Business and Theatre, Johnson knew acting would be his future. Prior to relocating to Los Angeles, Johnson appeared in a few commercials and then tried his hand at modeling before landing the role of “Brendan” on The Young and the Restless. Johnson currently lives in Los Angeles but he keeps in close contact with his younger siblings Jeff and Jenna. In his spare time he enjoys reading, roller-blading, beach going, sports and music and would someday like to start his own band. Johnson celebrates his birthday on February 24.
