Sharon Case (Sharon Collins Newman)
Sharon Case, who joined the cast of The Young and the Restless in August 1994 as Sharon Collins, the wife of Nicholas Newman, received Emmy Award nominations in 1996 and 1997 as Outstanding Younger Leading Actress. In 1998, Sharon was the recipient of a Soap Opera Award for Hottest Female In A Daytime Drama. In 1999, she won the Outstanding Supporting Actress Daytime Emmy. She was nominated for the same award in 2000.
Prior to joining the series, Sharon had portrayed Debbie on As the World Turns, also on CBS, Dawn on General Hospital and Anne on Valley of the Dolls. She also starred in the HBO Production Silicone Wars with David Schwimmer. Her additional television credits include guest-starring roles in Cheers, Beverly Hills, 90210, Silk Stalkings, Parker Lewis Can't Lose and Doogie Howser.
Sharon starred in the feature film Diplomatic Immunities. Her theater credits include lead roles in Grease, The Wizard and The Nutcracker.
Sharon was born in Detroit, Michigan and shortly thereafter, moved to Chatsworth, California. During her free time, she enjoys shopping, reading and traveling. She has blonde hair, blue eyes and stands 5' 7". Her birthday is February 9.
