Stephen T. Kay (Reginald Jennings)
Stephen Kay originated the role of Reginald Jennings in July of 1992. As the saracastic, wise cracking butler, Reginald is sure to get under Edward Quartermaine's skin.
Since graduating from Brown University and the American Film Institute, Stephen Kay has been working steadily as a director, writer, and actor. His writing credits include: 5 Against The House (for the Seventh Wave Productions); Instructions For Drowning (for Bates Entertainment); Regressing Theo; This Sad Burlesque, and The Road Les Travelled.
Stephen co-wrote and directed the Showtime 30 Minute Movie, Two Over Easy (based on his play). The film was nominated for three Cable ACE Awards, including Best Screenplay, Best Actor, and Best Dramatic Series.
He next wrote and directed the feature film The Last Time I Committed Suicide" starring Thomas Jane, Keanu Reeves, Claire Forlani, Gretchen Mol, and Adrien Brody. The Last Time?was an official selection in the 1997 Sundance Film Festival and was released to considerable critical praise.
Stephen also co-wrote The Mod Squad (with Scott Silver and Kate Lanier) for MGM. The picture stars Claire Danes, Giovanni Ribisi, and Omar Epps.
Most recently, he directed the remake of Get Carter for Warner Brothers, starring Sylvester Stallone, Michael Caine, Miranda Richardson, Rachel Leigh Cooke, Mickey Rourke, and Alan Cumming.
He is currently developing his adaptation of Harry Crews' All We Need Of Hell with Luc Besson, as well as Ernie Popovich with Mark Canton and The Canton Company.
