Tony  Musante (Joe  D'Angelo)
Tony Musante joined the cast of As the World Turns in September 2000, in the recurring role of Joe D'Angelo, the father of Atlantic City showgirl Rose D'Angelo.
A veteran of stage, screen and television, Musante's early experience was in regional theater and Off-Broadway. He was nominated for a Best Actor award by the New York Drama Desk for his Broadway debut in P.S. Your Cat Is Dead! During his stage career he has starred opposite Meryl Streep, Irene Worth, Deborah Kerr, Bibi Andersson and Elaine Strich. His most recent stage credits include The Sisters, Breaking Legs, The Flip Side, and Italian Funerals & Other Festive Occasions.
Musante made his film debut in The Incident, and has since played leading roles in over 20 features, including The Detective, starring Frank Sinatra, The Mercenary, The Bird With the Crystal Plumage, One Night at Dinner, The Pope of Greenwich Village, The Deep End of the Ocean, with Michelle Pfieffer, and most recently, The Yards, with James Caan, Faye Dunaway and Mark Wahlberg.
Musante also starred on television in the ABC series Toma and in Judgment: The Court-Martial of Lt. William Calley. He made appearances on Police Story, Medical Story and Night Heat, in mini-series such as Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, Legend of the Black Hand and Nutcracker: Money, Madness & Murder. He also appeared in the TV movies The Quality of Mercy, Desperate Miles, Nowhere to Hide, Rear View Mirror and Deep Family Secrets. Most recently, he starred in the acclaimed HBO series Oz, and can be seen in Sidney Lumet's A&E television series, 110 Centre Street.
