Victoria G. Platt (Vicky Brandon)
Victoria G. Platt joined Guiding Light in October 1998 as the tough-as-nails Vicky Brandon. Against the wishes of her newfound relatives, Vicky struggles to gain her rightful place in the Spaulding family and to hide her growing attraction to David Grant (TERRELL TILFORD).
Victoria developed an interest in acting after attending a class with her older sister when she was 8 years old. After years of studying acting and dancing, the actress made her Broadway debut as Amede in Jelly’s Last Jam, a role which she played throughout the show’s entire run. Her other theater credits include off-Broadway productions of 2 Diva’s & The Dog, Dreamgirls and Conrack, for which she won an AUDELCO Award. She also appeared in regional productions of Ain’t Misbehavin and The Hot Mikado.
A life-long fascination with Josephine Baker helped to prepare Victoria for her portrayal of the singer in the HBO film, Winchell. The actress also appeared in Alma’s Rainbow, 'Round Midnight, Boomerang and Tap Rap.
On the small screen, Victoria has guest-starred on such shows as Cosby, The Cosby Show, Beyond Belief and Sesame Street. She is best known to daytime audiences for her role as “Corinne” on All My Children.
In her spare time, Victoria is working on a number of screenplays. The actress has also studied swing, tap, jazz, ballet and African dance. She enjoys cooking and hiking. Her birthday is November 21.
