Wesley A. Ramsey (Sam Spencer)

Wesley A. Ramsey joined the cast of Guiding Light in September 2000 as Sam, the fearless young brother to Olivia Spencer.

Born in Louisville, KY, Ramsey and his two brothers, William and Warren, were raised by parents Bill, an orthopedic surgeon, and Linda, a painter and sculptor. Bitten by the acting bug early in life, Ramsey enrolled in a three-week summer program at the Walden Theater and ended up training and performing with them for seven years. He then attended the prestigious Juilliard School in Manhattan, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

Prior to joining GL, Ramsey filmed a small role in the independent film, Off-Broadway. The character of Sam Spencer is his first television role.

An avid fan of tennis, Ramsey plays guitar and likes to works on cars. His birthday is October 6.
