Tina Sloan (Lillian Raines)
In May 1983, Tina Sloan joined the cast of Guiding Light and originated the role of nurse Lillian Raines. A compassionate and resourceful woman, Lillian provides sound advice to those nearest and dearest to her.
Born on February 1 in Bronxville, New York, Tina was educated at The Ursuline School and Manhattanville College. She has studied acting with Bob McAndrew and Warren Robertson and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. Tina has worked extensively in dinner theatre, and spent time with the Boston Theatre Ensemble in such productions as The Apple Tree, Everything in the Garden, and St. Joan, in which she played the title role.
She has appeared off-Broadway in productions of Blithe Spirit and The Song of Bernadette. She was seen in The Bread Man at the American Place Theatre and originated the lead in the musical The Fine Art of Falling. Tina also appeared in the Woody Allen movie, Celebrity.
No stranger to daytime television, Tina has had recurring roles on the soap operas Search for Tomorrow (as Patti Whiting), Somerset (as Kate Cannell), and on Another World (as Dr. Olivia Delaney.)
The blond-haired, green-eyed actress is married and has a son. A marathon runner, Tina has completed races in Paris, London, Honolulu and Washington, DC, and competed in the New York City and Los Angeles marathons. She also climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in 1987.
