Anthony Pena (Miguel Rodriguez)
Anthony Pena, who stars as Miguel Rodriguez on The Young and the Restless, joined the cast of the CBS daytime drama in April 1984. In 1996, Pena was honored with a Nosotros Silver Anniversary Golden Eagle Award for his contributions to daytime television.
Prior to joining the cast of Y&R, Anthony appeared as Harry Greg in the daytime drama General Hospital. Additional guest-starring roles have included Hill Street Blues, Simon and Simon, Highway to Heaven, MacGyver, Hunter, Grand Slam, Quantum Leap and Dynasty.
His numerous feature film credits include Marathon Man, Altered States, Megaforce, Porky's II, The Running Man, Colors, Born on the Fourth of July and Backtrack, with Dennis Hopper and Jodie Foster.
Anthony's theatrical credits include starring in the acclaimed stage production of Zoot Suit at the Aquarius Theater and Bronze Images at the Actor's Studio West.
He launched his acting career by studying with acting coach Bruce Glover and later with Margo Albert, Joshua Shelley and Mary Carver of the Columbia Pictures Television talent search program.
Anhony was born in San Antonio, Texas. He attended the University of Santa Barbara, where he majored in English and history and obtained credentials to teach challenged students. Anthony also participated in high school athletics in Los Angeles and was scouted by the Cincinnati Reds to play professional baseball.
Anthony enjoys snow skiing, jet skiing, reading and traveling. He is actively involved with various charitable organizations such as the Salvation Army, Mother Antonia's Foundation and several Stay in School programs. He and his wife Raylene are the proud parents of two children.
Anthony's birthday is February 18. He stands 6' 0" tall and has brown hair and brown eyes.
