"I may have found the street sweeper. When I heard about that one i remembered seeing one in a photo in the official Star Wars Magazine which we get here in the UK. Sure enough in issue 15 (the one with the Nathan Hamill pic)August 1998 p34-35 , there is a view of some filming in the Theed Hangar. Directly below the N-1 fighter is the street sweeper painted pale yellow . However I've only seen the film 3 times and that was a while ago , so I can't say for sure which hangar scenes it appears in or if it's even in shot Glad I got that off my chest. Hope the info proves useful."
Oh, yes it does Steven! It appears your magazine is different than the one we get here. For US fans, or subscribers of the Star Wars Insider, you can find this picture in Issue #39 (Vader on cover) page 14. Above is the picture from the magazine and the screen shot from the film. But maybe the larger silver vehicle is the street sweeper? It appears that it is being used for making the movie - not to be in the movie (but it looks like it belongs in the film to me). If you take off that hydrolic lift, it looks just like a streetsweeper or a zambonie.
Also note: The yellow vehicle pictured in the magazine is different than the one in the screenshot. Could there be more of these vehicles in the hangar?

The grey vehicle on the far left of the top image is in fact a camera dolly! If you have the bit about TPM on 60 Minutes that aired back in April '99, you will see Lucas' young son riding it and honking its horn. To see other items still not found, click here.
