Rob's Halloween Site: The Michael Myers Territory
H20 At Planet Hollywood
Halloween hit Beverly Hills' PLANET HOLLYWOOD on Saturday, July 11, 1998! The stars of HALLOWEEN H20 showed up to present a special prop to the vast collection of this tinsel-town attraction!
Curtis, Hartnett, Williams, Arkin, Miner, and Williamson
"Truth be told, I just couldn't imagine that twenty years had gone by since we made HALLOWEEN," Jamie Lee Curtis said to a roaring crowd. "And it seemed when the twentieth anniversary was coming up, that was a really great way to be able to thank the fans who made, basically for me, my career, by making a twentieth anniversary sequel, have Laurie Strode come back, and kick Michael Myers' ass!" Curtis seemed very happy from the surprise visit by story scribe Kevin Williamson. As she presented the prop axe to the host, Curtis says that this is a very special movie prop. Was there anything special about Michelle Williams' character? "No, it's all about Jamie!" she said. "That's going to be the sequel...all about Jamie," the host laughed. "There were two prerequisites that I required in order to appear in this movie," says star Adam Arkin. "Number one...would I get to kiss Steve Miner," he laughed. "Number two, would I get to kiss Jamie Lee Curtis! The answer was yes and I was all for it!"
To round out the night, Curtis called a young lady by the name of Joni to the stage. Tonight was Joni's birthday, and Curtis asked the crowd to join her in singing happy birthday to this excited young girl. Each of the stars of H20 were presented with leather Planet Hollywood jackets. Curtis gave hers to the smiling little birthday girl. Curtis called out to the cheering audience again and in a flash, the stars were heading off the stage, stopping momentarily for a few autographs. Out behind PLANET HOLLYWOOD, a monsterous horde of HALLOWEEN fans awaited. The stars graced some of them with autographs, such as the fan below, who managed to get several autographs on his HALLOWEEN H20 poster!
