Summary: Son Gokuu is a member of the Saiya-jin race. The Saiya-jins are an evil race whose only desires in life are for blood, death and chaos. The Saiya-jins also are "planet brokers" they will go to a planet, kill all the life on the planet, then sell it to a customer. Gokuu was the child sent to eradicate all life on Earth, but something went wrong. When Gokuu was a young child, his adopted father, Gohan accidentally dropped Gokuu down a cliff (Gokuu was actually the cause of the dropping). During this fall, Gokuu hit his head with tremendous force against the floor of the canyon. This caused Gokuu to forget his "mission" (to destroy all life) and become a happy, normal child. When Gokuu was born he was very weak for a Saiya-jin, his power level was only 2. Gokuu went through martial arts training on Earth and he was about as strong as Piccilo. Gokuu then died in a fight with his brother (who he did not know about) Radditz. Gokuu went to Kaio-Sama's (translated as King Kaio, but could also be translated as Kaio, my darling or Kaio, dearest ^_^) planetoid at the end of Snake Way in the afterworld where Kaio-Sama trained him and he became extremely strong. Gokuu is strongest of the Saiya-jins, excluding his son Gohan and Brolly the legendary super Saiya-jin. Gokuu fights only for good. | |||||
Gohan is the son of Gokuu and Chichi and he obviously has the Saiya-Jin blood in him. Gohan (that was Gokuu's grandfather's name) recieved his first serious martial arts training from Piccilo through some very tough training which required him to survive by himself in the wild and fight against Piccilo. This training made Gohan quite strong and was the first step to revealing Gohan's hidden powers. Oh yeah, that's right! Did I mention that Gohan has hidden powers yet? Well he does. When Gohan gets angry, his power level sky-rockets and even when he hadn't undergone any training, it shot up to 1,400. Once Gohan reaches his adolescent years, all he has to do is get angry enough, and he can defeat any foe. Gohan is also a great fan of Piccilo and Gohan is pretty much Piccilo's only "friend."
Kuririn is a great character. He is extremely funny. Kuririn is not a Saiya-Jin and he is not powerful enough to be one. He is, however quite strong for a mere Earthling (in fact, he's the strongest earthling). Kuririn has no nose (for reasons which are beyond me), which is replaced by six burn marks on his forhead. Kuririn is also very short. He is a little taller taller than baby-Gohan. Kuririn is bald as a pinto-ball. As Gokuu puts it quite nicely "Your head looks like a pinto-ball." Kuririn does not get along with Piccilo very well, mainly because Piccilo does not like him. Kuririn is a good friend of Gokuu's. Kuririn wants to be the worlds first martial artist-singer (*stifled laugh*). When Kuririn sings it sounds like a washing machine stuck that's trying to finish its load. His singing is so bad it even got Vegeta to leave the area. When Gokuu first met Kuririn (in the comic, when they were both kids) Gokuu was astounded to find out that Kuririn had the amazing ability to distinguish men from women just by looking at them ^_^. That is an extremely funny scence.
Piccilo is a cool guy. He is the evil half of Kami and he used to fight with Gokuu a lot. But once Radditz arrived on Earth, Piccilo and Gokuu teamed up. In the end, Piccilo shot a special beam cannon at Radditz, who couldn't dodge it because Gokuu was holding him. The only reason that Piccilo fought with Gokuu was because he was evil. After Piccilo and Gokuu teamed up to defeat Radditz (and Garlic Jr.) they slowly became more and more of a team (much like what happened with Vegeta. When the threat of more Saiya-Jins was present (Nappa and Vegeta) Piccilo took it upon himself to train Gohan. Piccilo was the one who really took the first step to revealing Gohan's hidden powers. Piccilo has also saved Gohan many a time. Piccilo's special attacks are the Special Beam Cannon, his Extendo-Arm move and his regeneration.
Bulma is Trunks' mother and Vegeta's wife. She is a genius
with mechanics and computers (she was the one that first figured out the
scouters). During Dragonball and the beginning of Dragonball Z, Bulma had
a very strong crush on Yamcha, but she overcame it and married Vegeta. Bulma
is so good with electronics that she actually made a device which helped
Vegeta go to Super Saiya-jin 4. Bulma has blue hair and his about normal
height. She was also the second character to come into Dragonball. Although
Bulma has not actually fighting strengh, her knowledge of technology makes
her a worth ally.
Yamcha is one of the few Earthling warriors in Dragon Ball. He is good friends with a shape-shifting cat name Puel. When Yamcha first met Gokuu, they fought because Gokuu would not pay the tax for crossing the desert which Yamcha "owned" (I think). Anyway, Yamcha was one of the people who lost his life fighting against Vegeta and Nappa, but of course he was wished back with the Dragon Balls. Bulma has a huge crush on Yamcha. Bulma of course, being moody as she is, sometimes hates Yamcha, but then she always realizes she loves him in the end. Yamcha has an x-like scar on his left cheek.
Tenshinhan or Ten is an Earthling warrior. He is about Gokuu's height and is pretty muscular. Ten also has 3 eyes. He has two normal eyes, and then one stranger looking eye on the top of his head. It is kind of triangular. Ten is good friends with Chaozu. Ten is the developer of the Solar Flare (at least I think he is). He is about equal in strength with Yamcha, so Kuririn is still stronger than him. As far as I know, Tien does not have a girl friend or any other relations. He does not make many appearences in the DBZ movies.
Bulma was the second character (after Gokuu ) to be introduced into the Dragon Ball Series. She hit Gokuu (and the fish he was carrying) while drying through the woods searching for the mystical "Dragonballs." Gokuu had one of these balls and she eventually persauded him to come along with her, she also noticed that Gokuu was quite strong (he lifted up her car) and thought that he would make a good body guard. Bulma was in love with Yamcha and he liked her too. The first time he saw her he turned completely red and I think he fell over. Bulma also has blue hair (just a fun fact). Bulma is the mother of Trunks and wife to Vegeta. She is a genius with all sorts of electronics alien or domestic and she was the one who fixed Radditz's broken scouter.
Chi-Chi is mother to Gohan and Goten and wife to Gokuu. She feels very uh...
strongly about Gohan's study and will stop at almost no bounds to get him
to continue studying. She even threatened Gokuu by saying that she would
not give him any food if he did not come to and act politely at a school
they were trying to get Gohan into. Chi-Chi's father is Ox-King and I don't
have the slightest idea who her mother is. I don't think she was ever mentioned.
Chi-Chi also thinks that maritial arts are a waste of time (puzzles you why
she married Gokuu, right?). Chi-Chi is very fond of Videl and she wants Gohan
to marry her. Chi-Chi is also a little uptight about what Gohan can have
as a pet. She wouldn't let him have the Haiya dragon! ^_^ When Chi-Chi shops
she buys a lot. Gohan suggested it was to relieve stress, but it didn't seem
that way to me! She is also very concerned for Gohan's safety, but apperntly
not that much for Gokuu's.
Goten is the second son of Gokuu and Chi-Chi and Gohan¹s little brother.
He and Trunks spend most of their time together, and are good friends. Trunks
is a year older than Goten. Goten exibited a high power when he went Super
Saiya-jin at the age of seven. Goten bears a very strong resemblance to Gokuu.
He has the same hair that Gokuu has, he also wears a miniture version of
Gokuu's karate Gi. Goten is usually happy, but has a specialty for throwing
tantrums which get him something he wants. It worked on Videl.
Trunks is the only child of Vegeta and Bulma. He likes to hang out with Goten
and they are kind of like brothers. Trunks reached Super Saiya-jin when he
was eight (I think). When he and Goten are together, Trunks has a tendency
to get them in trouble. Trunks is also sad that he does not have a brother
like Goten does. I do not know much about Trunks¹ relationship with
his parents. Trunks has purple hair, and I think he is the only character
is Dragon Ball who doesn¹t have strange looking hair. Despite Trunks¹
ability to get himself and Goten into trouble, he means well.
Videl is Gohan¹s girlfriend and assistant. Gohan taught Videl how to
fly and fight (although she cannot manipulate energy, she is more powerful
than Mr. Satan). Videl is Gohan¹s assistant while he is the Great Saiyaman,
but I don¹t know what alias she goes by. Chi-Chi wants Videl to marry
Gohan and does not hide her intentions. Videl is also in the same high school
class as Gohan From the DBZ movies I¹ve seen (all of them) I gather
that Videl is not aware of energy manipulating techniques.
Mr. Satan is the most renouned martial artist on earth. He has been given
credit from killing some of the monsters that Gokuu and the Z fighters have
killed and most Earth-people think of him as invincible. Mr. Satan has a
very strange shaped beard-like hair style on his chin, which I don¹t
think ever changes. He is usually wearing a red jacket. Mr. Satan is incredibly
weak compared to the Saiya-jins, Kuririn, Yamcha, Choazu, Piccilo, Tenshinnan,
but he is the strongest human who does not know how to manipulate energy
(or so I¹ve gathered). Mr. Satan is also kind of a step-grandfather
to Pan-Chan.
Mr. Popo is a character who I know little about. I know that he is some kind
of assistant to Kami and that he is a powerful fighter. He wears a white
turban with an oval shaped gem in the center and travels sometimes by means
of flying carpet or teleportation. Mr. Popo has pitch black skin and red
lips. He does not look very much like a human, more like an inflateable balloon
in the shape of a human.
Pan-Chan is Gokuu's granddaughter. Pan-Chan is the most powerful
female in all of Dragonball. She is also a kind of adopted granddaughter
to Mr. Satan. Pan-Chan makes her first appearence in the first episode of
Dragonball GT. Pan-chan is about 11 or so. She wants to be an adult and hates
being treated like a little kid. For example, despite the fact that she hates
coffee she drinks it because she thinks it makes her look more adult. She
wears a red bandanna. She is 1/4 Saiya-jin, she is Gohan and Videl's daughter.
Pan-Chan's name is actually Pan, but the chan on it is kind of like saying
cute Pan, (it implies that she is young) but it is used more widely. She
does not seem to resent it. Pan-Chan also refuses to refer to Trunks as
Trunks-san (that's just a basic form of respect for elders), she will only
call him Trunks. Pan-Chan is also very adventurous and can get into trouble
a lot (kind of like chibi Trunks, eh?).
I don¹t really know anything
about Buu. I have seen none of the series in which Buu is in except Dragon
Ball GT. In DBGT Bejita shoots an energy ball at Ubuu. Buu absorbs the energy
blast and then explodes harmlessly, giving Ubuu his power. Ubuu then becomes
much stronger than normal. I also know that before Buu was in Dragon Ball
GT, he was bad, he was Majiin Buu. He posses people kind of like bebi. When
he has possesed someone there is a M¹ on their forehead.
Vegeta is prince of the Saiya-Jins and one of the most powerful Saiya-Jins.
When vegeta was a young boy he surpassed his father¹s power level despite
his age. Vegeta had dreamed of being the most powerful of the Saiya-Jins
and being the legendary Super Saiya-Jin. He knew that there were other, more
powerful races, but he would be the best of all the Saiya-Jins. Vegeta makes
his first appearence with his partner, Nappa. Vegeta comes to Earth with
Nappa and they wreak havoc destroying buildings and killing people. Nappa
also does a number on the Z fighters (who were very weak at the time). Once
Gokuu gets back from Kaio-Sama¹s place, he makes short work of Nappa
who is then killed by Vegeta. Vegeta challenges Gokuu after Gokuu refuses
to fight on his side. They fight and it becomes evident that Gokuu is more
powerful, this pisses Vegeta off, and he eventually goes Oozaru and kicks
the crap out of Gokuu (if you are new to Dragon Ball, Gokuu could not go
Oozaru because he had his tail cut off). Eventually, Vegeta becomes closer
and closer to Gokuu¹s side. Vegeta is always angry at not being as strong
as Gokuu. Vegeta has married Bulma and is father to Trunks. Vegeta has always
been a recluse like Piccilo.
Nappa was Vegeta¹s partner when he came to Earth. Nappa¹s powerlevel
was somewhere around 3,000 or so, and he was an Elite class Saiya-Jin. Nappa
was bald, which is very odd, because I have never seen a bald Saiya-Jin (aside
from him). He was very tall and very buff. He had that macho guy look about
him. Nappa was also very dense. He could not remember anything (he was much
dumber than Gokuu is) and that seemed to make Vegeta angry. Once Gokuu got
back from Kaio-Sama¹s place, he made short work of Nappa using the Kaio-Ken
attack. Once Nappa was in his unmovable state, Vegeta killed him (It¹s
part of that Saiya-jin pride thing). And that was the end of Nappa.
Freeza is a very powerful being. He is the son of King Cold and the brother
of Koola. He was, for a while about to have all the dragonballs. Freeza¹s
power level is much less than that of an exhausted super Saiya-jin, but more
powerful than a Saiya--jin who is not in super Saiya-jin form. Freeza killed
Kuririn in Dragonball Z. He was also the one who blew up planet Vegeta he
did literally by lifting his finger. Freeza and Koola both have tails which
are kind of like lizard¹s tails. Eventually, after some fighting with
Freeza, Gokuu went super Saiya-jin and destroyed him. Unlike his brother,
Koola, once Freeza bit the dust, he stayed dead for good. Or not. Freeza's
almost dead body is then found by his father King Cold. He is fitted with
mechanical parts, he is then more powerful than he was previously, but was
easily destroyed by Trunks.
Koola is even more powerful than Freeza, his brother. Koola is also the son
of King Cold. Koola, like Freeza has a tail bears a strong resemblance to
a lizard¹s tail. Koola also had the ability to transform. He cold make
himself much more powerful by transforming. Once Gokuu went super Saiya-jin
though, he (koola) was basically out of the fight. The huge energy ball he
threw at Gokuu was repelled and shot back at him. He then rode his energy
ball (against his will of course) into the sun. But Big Gheti Star (a mircochip
which had grown into a large ship, don¹t ask) salvaged him and made
him the brain of the ship. After Big Gheti Star had all his DNA, it could
make duplicates of him made entirely out of metal. These ³Metal
Koolas² can reproduce any broken part almost instantly. This caused
a huge problem for Gokuu and Vegeta. Eventually, the metal Koolas rounded
up Gokuu and Vegeta and Big Gheti Star was absobing their super Saiya-jin
energy so it could make millions of metal super Saiya-jins. Gokuu and Vegeta
had too much energy though, and Big Gheti Star/Koola absorbed too much energy
and blew up. It was then gone for good.
Bojack is a really strong villian and is not to be taken lightly.
Bojack wears a bandanna and his skin is a blue-green color. He is the main
villian in movie number 9, I think. Bojack hi-jacked a martial arts contest
and the end result was the beating up of all the Z fighters. Gohan was practially
dead, and Bojack was not having any serious difficulty when the laws of the
after-world were broken. Gokuu could not stand seeing his son being beaten
up so badly, so he teleported to Gohan. The told Gohan to use all of his
hidden strength after giving Bojack a good whack in the face. Gohan then
swiftly defeated Bojack and his subsidiaries. Kaio-Sama, being understanding
of what Gokuu did, said that he was blinking when Gokuu teleported and could
therefore not hold him for any broken rules.
Slug was the main villan in movie number four. Slug is a Super
Nameck sei-jin. Unlinke Piccilo (who is also a Nameck sei-jin), his evil
side continued to grow while his good side stopped growing. With Piccilo,
the good and evil sides seperated, but with Slug the good side dissapeared
and there was only evil. At the beggining of the movie, Slug is very old,
but he sends out his low-power army guys to go and get the dragonballs using
Bulma's dragon radar (he knew what it was because he could read minds). Once
the balls were collected, he summons Shenlon and he wishes for eternal youth.
He then becomes young and powerful again. His subsidiaries get their asses
kicked by Gokuu (who has become quite strong by this point in time), but
Slug is a different case. He takes a bit of damage but then reveals his true
form a giant nameck (he is about the size of an oozaru). Eventually he is
killed by Gokuu after Piccilo gives Gokuu his power producing a very strange
and powerful ki.
Dr. Willow was the main villan of the second Dragonball movie.
He was a genius brain that had been preserved be his loyal cyborg assistant.
He planned to get himself transferred into the strongest body in the world
which he thought was that of Mutenroshi, but over the fifty years he was
out of it, a lot changed. He then held Gokuu (upon recieve information that
Gokuu was the strongest) captive, hoping to be able to transfer himself into
Gokuu's body and become the strongest being alive. Gokuu eventually escaped
his evil traps and devices, but could not beat him. Dr. Willow was in a mech
machine, which was more powerful than all of the Z fighters combined. Gokuu
eventually killed it with a Genki-Dama (spirit bomb).
Cell is a very powerful villian from Dragonball Z. He was
more powerul than Gokuu when Gokuu was in his best health. Cell is one of
Dr. Gelo's robots which travelled back in time from the future. In order
to become Perfect Cell, he absorbed number 17 & 18. Cell likes to fight.
He even encouraged Gokuu do eat senzu so they could continue to fight. Eventually
Gokuu got Gohan to fight Cell, but Gohan was just getting beat up and Cell
was just getting angry. After being told that Gohan had hidden powers that
revealed themselves when he got angry, Cell decided to reveal those powers
so he could have a better fight. He made little Cell Jr.'s which he shot
out of some weird tube thing he had on his back, and the Cell Jr.'s, which
were really powerful, beat up on the Z fighters, while Gohan watched in horror.
Eventually, Gohan gets angry, goes to super Saiya-jin two, and kicks the
crap out of the Cell Jr.'s and eventually kills Cell.
Radditz is Gokuu's brother. When Radditz first came to Earth
it was the very begginning of Dragonball Z. Radditz had a power level of
about 1,300 or so. He told Gokuu about his origin with the Saiya-jin's and
asked him why he had not completed his mission. He then kidnapped Gohan and
flew somewhere. Gokuu and Piccilo eventually caught up to him and they fought.
Radditz was apperently stronger than both of them combined until Gohan
intervened. It was at this point when Gohan secret powers became revealed
for the first time (if you don't count the first movie). Gohan injured Radditz
enough for Gokuu to hold him down while Piccilo shot a deadly Special Beam
Cannon through him. Unfortunately the special beam cannon not only killed
Radditz, it went through him and killed Gokuu too. After Gokuu trained with
Kaio-Sama in the afterworld, he was revived using the dragonballs.
Dr. Gelo is a mad scientist. He is very mad at Gokuu (hehe,
put a little pun in there). All the robots who have numbers in their names
were created by Dr. Gero. Dr. Gero's hatred for Gokuu was so strong that
when he died, his hatred was transferred into his robot creating maching
and then continuously multiplied. All of the R & R (red ribbon) characters
are Dr. Gero's machine. Cell is one of Dr. Gero's machines. Dr. Gero himself
is no threat, but his genius is so great that having him against you would
mean certain death (unless your are as strong as Gokuu. ^_^). Dr. Gero was
killed by number 18 (or at least I think it was him, the android with the
black hair).
