David  Tom (Billy) - UPDATED
Film and television star David Tom joined the cast of The Young and the Restless in June of 1999 as Billy Abbott. He won the Outstanding Younger Actor Daytime Emmy in 2000. He also received the Outstanding Male Newcomer Soap Opera Award in March 2000.
David was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Seattle, Washington and Los Angeles, California. He studied with renowned acting coach Diane Hardin.
David starred in the feature films Pleasantville, Roommates, Walking Thunder, Swing Kids, Stay Tuned, Stepfather III and Lessie's Rainbow. He had a featured role in Plain Clothes.
David previously starred in the primetime television series World's Apart, Buddies, Brand New Life and Salute Your Shorts. He had recurring roles in the series Cousin Skeeter and Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman.
David starred in the telefilms Holy Joe, The Sixties, Summertime Switch and A Place To Be Loved.
He has guest-starred in numerous television series including Party Of Five, Rescue 77, 3rd Rock From The Sun, Sister, Sister, Quantum Leap, Get A Life, Totally Hidden Video and Just The Ten Of Us.
When David is not working he enjoys playing the drums, working out and going to the movies.
David's birthday is March 23. He stands 5' 11" tall and has blonde hair and blue eyes. David's sister Heather plays Victoria Newman on Y&R.
