Bell Stories - NEW
Bill Sr. about Lee:
"My wife, Lee, was a very prominent television personality in Chicago for many years. She had enormous success on the air, but she also gave so much of herself to the community. Besides that, she was a wonderful wife and mother. We raised the kids together. It was a picture-book kind of life."
Bradley on his father's commitment to his soaps:
"We'll be in the middle of a conversation about real people, about family, and he'll just say, you know, about whatever character, you've got to remember to do this - out of the blue!"
Bradley on his upbringing and how it affected him:
"I think being brought up in the Midwest was great because I was fortunate to have a very storng family and two parents who stuck through it all together."
Lauralee about the Bell soap legacy:
"Not so long ago, I worked very hard to set myself apart from my family name. I tried to just be another part of the cast. But now, people want to talk to me about the show, and I'm eager to help. I think it's a result of growing older and the fact that I think I care more about maintaining the family legacy."
Bradley on taking over from his father as B&B's excecutive producer and head writer:
"It's like somone giving you a picasso painiting that's three-quarters of the way done and teling you to finnish it. There's a lot of pressue there, and you want to please the artist."
