Carolyn  Conwell (Mary)
Carolyn Conwell, who stars as Mary Williams on The Young and the Restless, joined the cast of the CBS daytime drama in March 1980.
Carolyn's numerous television credits include appearances in the daytime drama General Hospital. She has also appeared in primetime on Knots Landing, Little House on the Prairie, Lou Grant, The Quest, and Medical Center, all on the CBS Television Network.
In the theater, Carolyn starred in regional productions of Hamlet, Born Yesterday, Tea and Sympathy, Summer and Smoke, The Taming of the Shrew, A Streetcar Named Desire, No Exit and Our Town. She has starred in Los Angeles stage productions of The World of Ray Bradbury, World of Sholom Aleichem, Othello, Come Blow Your Horn, Once More with Feeling, Freud and The Runner Stumbles. She has also had co-starring roles in the feature films Torn Curtain, Adam at 6:00 AM, The Boston Strangler, The Magnificent Seven Ride and Cheech and Chong: The Next Movie.
Carolyn was born and raised in Chicago and went on to earn a BA from Lawrence College with a major in theater arts. She has studied her craft with Herbert Berghof in New York and Jeff Corey in Los Angeles. Her additional theater experience includes summer stock with the Peninsula Players in Wisconsin and with the Dobbs Ferry Players in New York.
Carolyn resides in Los Angeles and has three children. Her hobbies include gardening, golf, singing and reading. She has blonde hair, blue eyes and stands 5' 8 1/2" tall. Her birthday is May 16.
