Big Sky, Channel Ten and Southern Stars latest action/drama series that captivates over 200,000 Australians every Tuesday night at 9.30pm.
The show is based around a small aviation company struggling to make ends meat.  Lauren, a successful business woman, inherits the business from her dead father and finds herself struggling to fit in 100%.
The stories every week revolve around the seven main characters and often a few guest stars.  Over the 20 or so episodes that have been shown, a love story between the radiant Lauren and chief pilot Chris has evolved.
T H E  C H A R A C T E R S
Lauren Allen
Alexandra Fowler
Lauren Allen is the spoilt daughter of a large wealthy socialite family.  Her mother died when she was twelve and this left her adoring her busy father.  When Laurens father dies she returns from New York to Australia and finds herself left with her fathers only remaining asset Big Sky aviation.  She took charge of the company and found herself befriended by her co-workers. Throughout the season Lauren has found herself in an 'On again Off again' relationship with her chief pilot Chris Manning.  In the season finale Lauren sold Big Sky for a large amount of money after trying to sort out her relationship with Chris.

Gary Sweet
Chris is the 37 year old chief pilot of Big Sky aviation.  He is an approachable loving guy who would help you out for nothing.  He also has a strong attachment to his x-wife and Two children.  When Chris was diagnosed with a detached retina, Lauren was there to cheer him up, and they Quickly formed a relationship which only lasted a few weeks. When Lauren sold Big Sky, chris realized too late that he truly loved her
Lexi Ciani 
Lisa Baumwol
Lexi 25, is a second generation Australian with an Italian background.  Her family wanted her to be a childcare worker but one of her boyfriends introduced her to flying and she's never looked back.  She was planning to get married, but Scotty told her that he had feelings for her, she realized that the marriage was wrong and she called it off.  She has had a brief romance with Scotty and she fits in well with the other pilots.
Scotty Gibbs 
Martin Henderson
Scotty is the kid of the group and at 22, found himself in love with Lexi.  He see's Big Sky as a stepping stone for an upcoming Jumbo pilot career.  He is best mates with Jimbo, and the two often get upto trouble at Big Sky base. 
Scotty had a brief fling with Lexi as well as an older married woman. 
Shay Mc'Williams
Robyn Cruze
Shay is Big Sky's 20 year old receptionist and office worker.  She is open, up-front and bubbly and would never tell a lie. She respects Chris for his natural leadership and when Lauren arrives Shay is overwhelmed with delight, Lauren is how she wants to be when she grows up.  Shay would rather chat with girlfriends rather than chase boys.  Recently Shay discovered she was adopted causing a long search for her mother.  Shay finally finds her mother and then forms a tight friendship with her.
Jimbo James
Rhys Muldoon
Jimbo James is Big Sky's 32 year old pilot that is paranoid about the Paranormal.  Jimbo recently found that his father was a famous motorbike rider.  Jimbo manages to attract the women and has an explanation for anything.  Jimbo set out to prove his four phases of seduction, the prize being the new pilot Paula.  Jimbo realises that he really loves paula and from their he may form a beautiful relationship with her.
Paula
The newest addition to Big Sky is the pilot Paula who also is a country music singer.  She was hired after Jimbo convinced Lauren she was perfect for the job.  Paula initiated love with Jimbo.
Rolly
Rolly is the friendly engineer of Big sky.  He is open to everyone especially Lauren and Chris, but no matter how much he likes the pilots he cannot stand damage of his planes.
Alexandra Fowler who plays the role of Lauren exceptionally well, has unfortunately decided to leave the show, especially seeing the relationship with Chris has formed and ended (Which means in Tv terms the ratings will drop once the love interests get together, example Lois and Clark).
Her character instead of blowing up in a plane will just drift on into the distance, and Chris will finally realize that he really loves her, except a little bit too late.  Chris takes over running Big Sky.  Lauren left in the season finale.  The longest Alexandra has stayed on any television series is 'Sons and daughters' - 20 months.
 
 
"Blind Spot"
After Chris is diagnosed with a detached retina, he enters surgery but rejects laurens attempts to comfort him.  When Chris is given the all clear for his operation he initiates a romance between Lauren and himself.  Meanwhile Scotty dates an older married woman.
"Take a Chance"
Lauren is offered a job at a perth art gallery, causing tension between Chris and herself.  Meanwhile Chey finds out that she was adopted as a child.
"Searching For You"
A depressed mother is flown down to the coast, where she intends to commit suicide.  Chey forms a close freindship with her, and stops her from jumping of a cliff.  Chey decides to find her biological parents.  Meanwhile Lauren did not get the job.
"Wishing and Hoping"
Chris and Laurens relatioship ends after lauren gives Chris an expensive present.  Jimbo gets involved with a stripper that leads to a murder.  Chey finds her mother.
"The Choice"
Scotty is faced with a challenging choice when he rescues two survivors from a car crash, both claiming to be police carrying a prisoner.  Chey meets her biological mother for the first time.  Jimbo gets involved with an actress while Chris and Lauren start fighting.
"Dark Horses"
Paula and Lauren win over $9000 in a horse race.  Jimbo is put in charge while chris and lauren are away, Chey gives her mum a birthday present.  Chris gets jealous over his x-wifes new boyfriend.  
"Edge of Reality"
Jimbo and Scotty take part in an army play war.  While Lauren finds that someone is impersonating her father to make good money.  Chris's X-wife dumps her boyfriend.
"Phase 5" (The 2 episodes shown for finale)"
Scotty is forced to take armed criminals out of danger in his plane, while he tries to persuade them to let a dying boy go.  Meanwhile Chris and Lauren fly the bride and groom to a wedding.  
Lauren sells BigSky and doesnt tell Chris till it's too late.  Lauren decides to go to Paris.
