"Hello?" Nothing. "Please, answer me, I know you're there!" Nothing, wait-- a footstep. "Who are you? Why am I here?" She looked around and caught a glimpse of someone moving toward her. She started backing up as the person got closer. A cold hand grabbed her arm and halted her steps. She looked up, and screamed. Angelus smirked at her, "Surprise." "NOOOOOO!!!!" Willow shot upright in bed, sweat soaking her nightshirt and sheets. Her scream must of woken up Spike, who lay beside her bed on the floor, because he was immediatley there, holding her as she took calming, shuddering breaths. "Another one, luv?" Spike murmured softly. Willow nodded and shivered, "It was so real." "I know, but you have to remember, Angelus can't get to you, or to me, as long as we're inside your house." "I know that, but, I-I can't stop the nightmares Spike, they come every night!" Willow let out a sob. "I'm right here, beside you, nothing will get you Red, nothing!" Spike swore to her, then added silently to himself, 'You're mine.' ********************* "Well, you have to do something, Slayer, unless the nightmares stop, she could go insane!" Spike shouted. "I can't do anything Spike! I have no clue where Angelus is!" Buffy shouted back. Spike sank down onto the couch and put his head into his hands. "I know it's hurting you as well as Willow, Spike, but I can't do anything. If I could, I would, you know that!" Buffy argued. "Yes, I bloody well know that, Slayer, but it's tearing me up to see her like this, and I can't help her!" Spike looked up, blood tears in his eyes. Buffy searched his eyes, and saw what she was looking for. "I'll hunt him down tonight." ********************* "Oh here evil vampires, I'm not gonna hurt you..." Buffy sang quietly to herself as she patrolled one of the many graveyards in Sunnydale. "But I'll hurt you." Buffy whirled around to face Angelus, who was leaning against the trunk of a tree, watching her. "Angelus, what an unpleasant surprise." "Aw, come on Buff, don't be like that. It's not you I'm here to kill this time, so let's be friends," Angelus smirked. "Let me think about it, um, no." Buffy rolled her eyes. "Too bad," Angelus faked a sigh. "Leave her alone, Angelus." "I presume your talking about Willow? Then the answer is no. Can't do that." "Why not? Aren't you sick of your actions being controlled?" Buffy asked. "What do you mean?" Angelus was wary. "First, you come back after having lost your soul once, and the curse specified that you try and kill the one who took it away, me. Now, you're back again to kill Willow, because of a prophecy." "I wanted to kill you because your a Slayer, the curse made no difference, I now want to kill Willow, and Spike, and every other person in your little gang here because I always have. It's my choice, Buffy, mine." Angelus snapped out, angry. "Sure. You believe that. I'm leaving." Buffy turned and started weaving in and out of the tombstones toward the cemetery exit. "This is my unlife, Buffy, MINE!" Angelus yelled after her. But she didn't see the uncertainty on his face. End 5/? Feedback? Please?
