That last run-in with Angelus had scared her more than she cared to think about. "Cold, pet?" Spike asked, gently rubbing her arms. "Um, yeah." Willow leaned back into Spike's embrace with a small sigh. "It was the big poof wasn't it?" "I guess." Willow frowned, "Spike? What would happen if Angelus was turned back into Angel, I mean, what would happen to the prophecy?" "I'm not sure, but it would probably end it." "Oh." Willow was deep in thought. "We could try that, but we're not sure what would happen if we succeeded, we could all go to hell or something." Spike didn't want to admit it, but he didn't want to lose Willow, which might very well happen if the prophecy was ended. Willow shuddered at the very thought of spending eternity in hell. "But we could talk to Giles, I guess," Spike murmured, disturbed by the pangs of pain he felt when he thought of losing Willow. "Tomorrow? 'Cause I'm tired, Spike." Willow nestled closer to Spike and closed her eyes. "Sure, luv, tomorrow." Spike, too, closed his eyes, but not because he was tired, but because he was dreading tomorrow. Tomorrow would decide whether he kept Willow, or lost her. *I wonder what he's thinking,* Willow thought to herself, *I wish I knew.* *************** "Well, it's an interesting thought, Willow, I'm actually not sure what would happen if Angel was brought back." Giles was looking off into space, frowning slightly. "Is there any way to research it?" Buffy asked. "There might be, Willow?" Giles turned to her. "Yeah, Giles?" "Could you, uh, research it on that--thing, for me?" Willow grinned, "Sure, Giles." ***************** An hour later, the gang was engrossed in their books, when they heard a little cry coming from the computer. "Willow? Is everything okay?" Buffy questioned anxiously. "Guys, you better look at this," Was all she said in response. The tone of her voice indicated the news was not good. The group gathered around Willow, staring at the document her search had pulled up. Giles read it several times, and then gave a sigh of defeat, "I'm sorry, Willow, I knew you were hoping it would work." "It's okay, Giles, I didn't really think it would." Willow had a little sadness lurking in her eyes as she said this, but gave a bright smile anyway. Spike, who had been hanging back, smiled a little. If they lived through this, he would most definitely stick around for a while. *********** END Please? Feedback?
