Old News - 16th February 1999While staying at the Bogota Hotel in Columbia, Jelena and Lesley Bowrey's valuables were stolen. "On the first day, they went to practise and when they returned to their room, all the valuable items were missing." - Damir Dokic Jelena was in Bogota to play one of three tournaments on the WTA tour. She will be going to the United States and then Dubai before returning to Australia. Items including passports, money, jewelry and credit cards were stolen. Upon realising that the passports were missing they immediately reported the incident to the Australian embassy. Jelena was aparently in tears when she rang her parents. |
