He is the oldest of two brothers. He got his big break in 1988, playing the role of the young Tom Hanks in <I>Big</I>. This led to two short-lived TV series, "Live-In" and "Living Dolls". David then took a break from TV and movies, and instead worked on the New York stage while attending high school in East Harlem.</div> <div> In 1992, he returned to the big screen in Disney's <I>Newsies</I> as David Jacobs, the co-leader of the Newsie strike. His younger brother Lev also had a minor role in the movie. David admits that he probably had the most trouble of all the actors in learning the complicated dance steps, dubbing himself "the anti-dancer". Everyone else on the set, however, came to know him as the cast's practical joker. </div> <div> David had three movies out this year: <I>Hurricane Streets, River Red</I> and <I>Restaurant</I>. All of them were in relatively limited release, but look for video sometime soon. Right now, David is living in Los Angeles, California where he's working on the new sitcom <I>Zoe Bean</I>.
