Welcome to my small Mummies Alive fanfic page. Yes, there is nothing here but fanfic at the moment. I might install links to other fanfic pages in the future, but right now this is all there is. Enjoy it anyway! I hope you do!

Now a warning about..... The Author (that's me!): My first language is not English, it's German, and though I did my best to proof the stories, there might be grammatical errors or weird sentence structures. Please bear with me; I'm trying to improve all the time.

•  Shattered Vows (Stand-alone story)

"What's wrong?"
"I have failed you, my prince. My apology can never be enough to redeem myself."
Presley blinked. He knew what had happened and nothing of it had been Ja-kal's fault. It had been an accident.
"No," Ja-kal said as Presley told him that, shaking his head. "I failed my duty to you."
"You did all you could, Ja-kal, and I'm okay. You got me to the hospital!" the boy protested. "The doctor and the police told me someone dropped me at the emergency entrance."
"I was nearly responsible for your death," the Guardian whispered, still refusing to meet his eyes or to rise. It was as if he was awaiting some kind of punishment.....

• Rebirth

"Why did you do all this?"
"Hm?"
"Why did you help me?"
"Well, mainly because you dropped into my hallway, shattering my favorite mirror. I inherited it from grandma. You aren't insured, are you?" Morrigan asked with a grin.
"Ah.... uhm... no.... Insured?"
She laughed at his puzzlement. "Forget it. Why did I do it? Well, I have a weak spot for gods crashing into my hallway. What else should I have done? Call the local dog shelter?"
"This modern world no longer believes in gods and spirits, and those who see us usually call guards," Anubis pointed out. "What do you gain from this? What do you want from me?"
 
• Redemption

"Retreat and regroup!" Rath heard Ja-kal order as he staggered to his feet.
"Leaving already?" Set mocked and blasted Ja-kal again before he had any time to react. He then grabbed the half-unconscious Guardian by his neck armor and hurled him into the wall. Ja-kal didn't move any more.
"No!" Nefer-tina screamed. "Ja-kal!"
Set laughed and pointed his staff at them.
"Retreat!" Rath yelled, running as well. He knew they had to develop a new attack strategy. Set was way too powerful!
"But, Rath!" Armon protested, staggering out of the way of a new blast, raising his golden arm to deflect it.
"I said, we retreat!"
And they followed his order, though reluctantly. Set's evil, triumphant laughter followed them as they ran for a place to recover.
 
• Striking Distance

"Egyptian stuff."
Rath frowned in disdain. "Yes, Egyptian spells. What is there to criticize?"
"Nothing, but the Hunters are not from your world. Their place of origin is the Netherworld and that's where you have to look to find a counter-spell or a way to fight them off." Morrigan raised one shoulder in a half-shrug. "I'm no expert either, but I have the books somewhere for sure. Grandma was a real collector of 'All Things Spells'." She smiled.
Rath sniffed again. "It might be interesting to take a look at those witch books."
"Oh, don't fall all over yourself in joy," Morrigan mumbled.
Anubis elbowed her gently and she glared at him.
"So what do I do until you guys know how to get rid of the nasties?" Presley wanted to know.
Silence.
"Oh....."
"My prince, you are in danger as long as the Hunters are free and searching for you," Ja-kal finally breached the silence. "Admittedly, this house is the safest option right now and until Rath finds a way to defeat the spirits, you have to remain here."

• Duty and Devotion

Rath pounded a fist against the barrier in frustration, then leaned his back against the other wall and allowed himself to slide down it into an exhausted heap. He?d tried every spell he could think of, and none of them had worked. He?d even targeted the floor, but discovered upon further investigation that he was actually standing an inch above it - the box had a bottom as well as top and sides. Despite all his efforts, he was still trapped.
It seemed that the only way to get out of here was if Winter found enough evidence to satisfy her that he was still needed, and set him free. It was driving him crazy with frustration, but he was helpless.  Winter certainly knew her magic. Rath rested his head in his hands and glared at the invisible walls.

mentally.
But nothing came to mind. Rath groaned in defeat and frustration, and began running through every magical logistic he could think of, every technique he?d ever learned or taught for breaking barriers or canceling spells. There had to be something he hadn?t tried. Something that would set him free.
Something.
Anything.
