In those episodes, Thorne had found out his wife Brooke was not in love with him. After hearing Brooke confess to son-in-law Deacon that her true love has always been Thorne's big brother, Ridge, Thorne was devastated. He realized his family - and Macy - were right in warning him from marrying Brooke. Guilt-ridden of how he treated Macy, and the consequences of his actions (Macy's July 2000 accident), he went to Macy's gravesite. Suddenly, much to his surprise, he saw Macy!
It was later revealed Macy didn't really come back - It was all a part of Thorne's dream, who fell asleep at the gravesite!

Many magazines covered Bobbie's short return:

The Powers That Be at The Bold and the Beautiful were careful not to write Bobbie's appreance as if Macy was a ghost or an angel, in order to leave the door opened for a future return.
Bobbie had a different idea as to how these scenes should have been written:
"I thought it'd be cool if I reached up through the dirt and had a ton of burn makeup all over my body!" she joked with Soaps In Depth.

Bobbie and Winsor Harmon were thrilled to work together again!
For Bobbie, the return was a natural thing:
"It's like I just had a break or something," she told Soaps In Depth. "In fact, when I drove in to work today, the car in front of me was a Kia Spectra!"

Will she come back?
"I'd come back, as long as I don't have to give back my watch," Bobbie quipped to Soaps In Depth, refering to the gift Head Writer / Executive Producer Bradley Bell gave her at her good-bye party. "That's a deal breaker."
