Bobbie  Signs  A  New  TV  Deal!
PRESS  RELEASE  FROM  BOBBIE  EAKES  NEWS:
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (June 19,2002) Great American Country (GAC) recently announced recording artist and former daytime drama star, Bobbie Eakes (Macy Alexander from "The Bold And The Beautiful"), as the new host of the network's daily request show, CRL. The announcement was made at Graham Central Station in Nashville where Eakes was hosting a special GAC Fan Fair Breakfast for more than 300 Fan Fair attendees. Eakes will take over for Dallas Turner, who recently decided to leave the show to spend time at home with her husband and their first child.

"We are thrilled to have someone of Bobbie's caliber as the new host for CRL. Her knowledge of the country music industry and the fact that she is also a country artist will add a whole new dimension to the show," said Jeffrey C. Wayne, President of Great American Country. “The viewers response to Bobbie as guest host on CRL was nothing short of sensational!"

Eakes will debut on CRL on August 5, 2002. CRL is Nashville’s oldest daily, viewer-interactive television show. It offers a direct connection with GAC viewers who email their requests or speak in person to CRL host Bobbie Eakes. Broadcast from Starstruck Studios on Music Row in Nashville, CRL will continue to air weekdays from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM (ET) with two replays of each day's show, at 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM (ET) CRL is seen in 19 million households across the United States via cable and Echostar’s DISH Network.

"I’m very excited about becoming the host for CRL. I like the fact that the program is all about what the fans want to see because that is what country music is all about. The one thing that CRL fans and GAC can look forward to is a lot of fun!" said Bobbie Eakes. "I look forward to the challenge of balancing my CRL hosting duties with my singing and acting careers."

PAST  NEWS:

Guest  Stint  or  Ghost  Stint  for  B&B's  Macy?
Bobbie Eakes will be making a two-day reappearance on The Bold and the Beautiful August 1-2. Is it a guest stint or a ghost stint? Apparently, we'll have to wait until the episode airs to find out. According to a spokesperson for the soap, Thorne goes to the grave of his former wife Macy where he seeks consolation over his failed relationship with his current spouse, Brooke. "The first day the audience sees a hand; on the second day they will see Thorne talking to 'Macy's [spirit]..." Later in the episode, Thorne wakes up on a bench opposite Macy's headstone, his conversation with Macy having been nothing more than a dream. Or was it? "There's food for thought on both sides of the argument," the spokesperson adds.

More  About  Bobbie's  Return
It's the news fans of The Bold and the Beautiful have been waiting to hear: Bobbie Eakes will reprise her role as Macy Alexander on the show.
It's the new fans of The Bold and the Beautiful have been dreading: Bobbie Eakes will not be returning to the show on a permanent basis.
Yes, it's a good news, bad news situation for B&B fans. Rumored for months, B&B set sources are now confirming that Eakes will return to the show this month. The return is said to be a two-day appearance - but the method of the return should give Macy fans some reason to celebrate.
Eakes exited the show last summer when Macy was presumed dead in a fiery explosion. However, in the scenes preceding the big blast, a lady trucker was seen frantically trying to extricate Macy from the car wreckage. In January of this year, Adam Alexander appeared on his daughter Kimberly's doorstep and asked her to run away with him. Kimberly is also Macy's half-sister. Adam promised his daughter that if she agreed, she would receive "something so wonderfully miraculous."
According to a B&B source, Eakes will return as a vision... and angel - not a ghost. In fact, it is said that the show went out of its way to avoid any references to Macy's "death," just in case Eakes does decide to return to the show on a long-term basis.
It appears that the decision to return would have to be made by Eakes. Show execs are reportedly waiting for the day that the actress calls them to say that she wants back in. It is unclear is Eakes is ready to return to the rigors of daytime television. This two-day return to B&B will be Eakes first daytime appearance since a non-speaking part on Days of Our Lives in February of this year.
Eakes makes her return to B&B on August 1st and 2nd.

Is  MACY  Alive?
Soap  Opera  Central  users  have  been  buzzing  at  the  news  that  Macy  Alexander  might  not  be  as  dead  as  she's  believed  to  be.
Last  summer, Macy (played  by  Bobbie  Eakes) was  presumed  dead  in  a  fiery  explosion. However, in  the  scenes  preceding  the  big  blast, a  lady  trucker  was  seen  frantically  trying  to  extricate  Macy  from  the  car  wreckage.
Fans  were  never  shown  if  Macy  was  freed  in  time. So  why  are  fans  suddenly  declaring  the  well-liked  character  alive?
On  January  26th, Adam  Alexander (played  by  Michael  Swan) appeared  on  his  daughter  Kimberly's (Ashley  Lyn  Cafagna) doorstep  and  asked  her  to  run  away  with  him. Adam  promised  his  daughter  that  if  she  agreed, she  would  receive  "something  so  wonderfully  miraculous."
This  month  Eakes  appeared  in  a  non-speaking  role  on  Days  of  Our  Lives. Her  return  to  daytime  television  was  the  subject  of  much  chattering  late  last  year  when  it  was  revealed  that  the  actress  was  up  for  a  part  on  ABC's  General  Hospital  and  rumors  have  been  subsequently  quelled.
