In September 1999, Macy, who was on a date with Thorne (Winsor Harmon) in her coffee house, Insomnia, saw Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) there with Giovanni (Victor Alfieri).

Macy confronted Brooke about going after another Forrester men and trying to seduce her fiance. She said Brooke was on her turf now, but Brooke was not intimidated. Macy then told Thorne Brooke would regret ever coming to Insomnia.

Macy decided to beat Brooke at her own game. She sent a waiter to Brooke and Giovanni's table, to give them muffins, and tell them Macy hopes they enjoy the show.

Macy took the michrophone and dedicated a song to Thorne, The Crush (from Bobbie's own album, Here And Now). She worked the crowd (including Giovanni, who standing right next to Brooke!) and ended the song in Thorne's lap. Then they kissed.

Afterwards, Macy went back on stage and told everyone there's a celebrity in the house, the CEO of Forrester Creations, Brooke Logan. She told the crowd to applaud, maybe they can get Brooke to sing for them!

As the crowd wasn't reacting well, Brooke left the stage, humiliated, and Macy continued the song, singing, "Go on now, go. Walk out the door. Don't turn around now, 'cause you're not welcome anymore! Weren't you the one who tried to break me with your lies? Did you think I'd crumble? Did you think I'd lay down and die? Oh, no, I, I will survive. Oh, as long as I know how to live, I know I'll stay alive. I've got all my life to live, I've got all my love to give, and I'll survive. I will survive!"
