Rob Lowe started acting in stage productions and TV at the age of 8. Naturally, movies would be his next step. He started his movie career with "Class" (1983), a comedic movie about one roommate having an affair with the other roommate's mother.

Rob's career took off with "The Outsiders" (1983). The movie won him critical acclaim and established him as a teenage heart-throb. With his popularity rising, he became known as a member of the Brat Pack, a group of young, talented, even reckless group of actors that included Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwall, Charlie Sheen among others.

However, in 1988, scandal rock Rob's world when a tape of his sexual encounter with a minor was released to the press. His career took a dive afterward.

After this low in his life, he is ready to show the world that he had cleaned up his act and is now a older, wiser person. He started his come back with "Bad Influence" (1990) and "Wayne's World (1992). Rob's career is on the upswing again.

His latest movie, "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999)," has him playing the '60's version of Dr. Evil's right hand man Number 2. From the early buzz on this movie, it's going extremely well.
