For 85 memorable days (Sept. '43
- Jan. '44), a group of Marine Corps pilots lead by the brilliant and charismatic
Maj. Greg "Pappy" Boyington, engaged--and soundly defeated--the Japanese
in the skies above the Solomon Islands.
In 1976, a fine ensemble of actors
lead by the equally charismatic Robert Conrad, brought the exploits of the Black
Sheep Squadron to the small screen. Although the series lasted only two seasons,
it continues to live on in syndication.
This site, which is named in honour
of the squadron's famous officer's club, is dedicated to all of the men--real and
fictitious--of the Black Sheep Squadron.
