The Zack Tapes - 9.15

Written by: Tom Tenowich & Peter Engel
Directed by: Don Barnhart

Guest Stars:
Miss Wentworth: Carol Lawrence
Derrick: Nick Reed
Edgar: William Joseph Barker
Theresa, Buffy, Wendell, waitress: unbilled

Synopsis: After going through a course on subliminal messaging, Zack tries to use the technique to get out of trouble with Mr. Belding and get together with Kelly. Everything seems to be going fine for the "blonde Tom Cruise" until Kelly starts letting other people borrow her subliminally messaged tape.

Critique: This was a pretty cool episode because Zack pulled off a scheme and it actually looked like it was going to work for awhile there. But, unfortunately for the Z-Man, these things never work out. Slater wasn't around too much in this one, but I thought he was the best part when he did show up. If Screech had been more entertaining, I would give this an A+. Oh well, it's only a minor setback from this otherwise hilarious episode.
Grade: A-
