The Gift - 9.4

Written by: Bennet Tramer
Directed by: Dennis Erdman

Guest Stars:
Mr. George Testaverde: John Moschitta

Synopsis: After being struck by lightning, Screech gains the power to see the future (and turn on electronic devices with his hands). Zack tries to exploit this new found "gift" in order to pass Mr. Testeverde's mid-term. He also has plans to help out Kelly with the test, and get closer to her in the meantime. Plus, Zack puts a bet on it with Slater. If Zack doesn't ace the mid-term, he has to be Slater's slave for a week. There's a lot riding on it, and it's soon discovered that Screech's gift may not be everlasting...

Critique: This is definitely one of my all-time favorite episodes of SbtB. Screech just cracks me up, and I always enjoy seeing Zack one-up Slater (even if it is short-lived). Also, the scene where Mr. Belding talks to Screech about not being able to see the future is my absolute favorite in SbtB history.
Grade: A++

Quote of the Episode:
Mr. Belding: "Right, Screech, no one has the power to see the future."
Screech: "Oops, I'll pick them up."
Mr. Belding: "Pick what up....? (Pencils fall off Mr. B's desk) Uhh... Screech, I'm just curious. My mother-in-law's staying with us indefinitely, by any chance, can you tell me...?"
Screech: "She'll be gone by Tuesday."
Mr. Belding: "All right!"
