SO you wanna know about me? Well, there isn't too much to say.. Umm.. Ok, so let's get on with the show!
Ok, so for starters, my name is Monica, but have been called a variety of things. Umm.. there's the occasional Mixnay and often Mixy, Stokes, Munka, Monique, Momo.. I don't mind most of them, except Munka, which was funny the first few times.. In grade five.. Damn you Kyle..
Then comes school I guess.. I go to Royal West Academy, grade 8 at the moment. It's ok I guess, as far as school goes.. But we got some cool stuff, we have a variety of sports teams. Hockey, soccer, volleyball, swimming, track, rugby and a lotta other stuff..
Uhm.. hmm.. some of my obsessions? Well, there's Denis Leary, and Dean McDermott and Christopher Walken and Kevin Spacey, and Samuel L Jackson, John Travolta and stuff. Don't get me wrong though, I don't like 'em all for their looks (well, only some of them *laugh*)
My favorite bands are REM, Live, Soundagrden, Stone Temple Pilots, Everclear, Moist, Pearl Jam and the list just keeps going on. My music taste ranges from hard rock to alternative. Some of my less favorite but still loved bands include Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Nirvana, Matchbox20, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tea Party, Barenaked Ladies, Tragically Hip.
Sports are awesome. Some of my favorites are hockey (LONG LIVE CANADIANS!! YEAH!!! SCREW THEM GLOWING PUCKS!!! Kidding! :) *laugh*) and football. I started playing a bit of rugby, and so far I like it, same with volleyball. I've been doing some track for a while, mostly for fun, but I joined the school team last year.
I LOVE scary movies!! Anything that'll make me wonder if something's lurking in the dark. The scarier the better, and gore is ok too, but I think the movie must be amazing if it's scary without having any heads or arms being ripped off, thought the occasional combustion is really awesome ;) I also love scary rides, higher, faster scarier the better. Usually at first I'm a little edgy about going on, but when it's over I'm probably going right back on!
My favorite movie of all time must definately, positively, totally be The Usualy Suspects with Kevin Spacey and Stephen Baldwin. It's a Film Noir, filled with mystery and thrills and an extra special ending.. Oop! Better not say too much! It's totally kick ass, go check it out!
Another great movie, maybe not my favorite, but still awesome, would be The Princess Bride. STOP!!! Don't you dare press the BACK button on your browser, I know, I know, you'r thinking "Ooh, little girly likes the typical girly movie." WRONG YOU BASTARD!! *gasp* Sorry.. Didn't mean to explode like that. Just hear me out. The Princess Bride is such a kick ass movie, it's funny, filled with action, the occasion viewing of a six fingered hand, a giant, pirates, kings, queens etc. I love it!!
Another great movie? Hmm.. How about Suicide Kings? A more recent movie, starring Jay Mohr, Jeremy Sisto, Sean Patrick Flanery and of course, Christopher Walken and Denis Leary (with his boots! Love 'em!) It's all about four guys who kidnap a mob boss for money. But things go wrong, a finger gets chopped off, people get shot.. Y'know, the usual mob thingy... Definately a great movie to watch with a bunch of friends.
How about TV? Of course I love TV! My favorite shows at the moment include Power Play, Who's Line Is It Anyway? and Sports Night but I've been getting into the whole Due South more and more (.. now that's it's over.. dang...) I use to watch it a lot, then I totally lost track of when it did and now I'm back with it!
