Thought for the week.

"Is the character line up of THE PRETENDER reminding anyone else of 'Lois and Clark: The NEW ADVENTURES of SUPERMAN'?
IE:

The Pretender	Superman	The Same in that...
Jarod/Super Genius	Clark Kent/Super hero	both have strong feelings for their leading ladies, both are virgins in their thirties, both do good deeds under assumed identities, both looking for clues to their past, they look a bit alike too - Short brown hair, sexy dark eyes and LOVELY BODIES.
Miss Parker	Lois Lane	both had crappy home lives growing up, both were ignored by their fathers, neither will admit that they are attracted to the leading men (Lois gave in, will Miss Parker?) they kinda' look alike, both act tough but are in reality, quite nice people with just a few issues that cause them to over react and yell a lot.
Sydney	Perry White	both act as father figures to the leading ladies, they're around the same age and are well educated, both are very proud of the leading men, both dress well and are in positions of power but are controlled by 'The People Upstairs'
Broots	Jimmy Olsen	both are computer geeks, both have no love life, both are kinda scared of the leading ladies and get ordered around by them a lot.
Mr Raines	Lex Luthor	both are the indisputable bad guys, both have been thought to be dead, both are after the leading men, both are bald, both kill the people who get in their way.
Mr Parker	Sam Lane	both are played by the same guy! Both chose their career over their family, both call their daughter Sweet Heart/Honey
Catherine Parker	Martha Kent	both are the perfect mother, both would (and did) die for their children.
Jarod's Dad	John Kent	both are the perfect father, both have very special sons
Angelo	Bobby Bigmouth	both tell the leading man or woman the details of what they're working on, or running from.
Kyle and Emily	Lucy Lane	all are siblings of the leading men and women, all are rarely actually on the shows, but are mentioned often, both Kyle and Lucy need therapy and are a little flaky (or homicidal).
Nia and the guy from Better part of Valor	Mayson Darke and Dan Scardino	all want to get lucky with either the leading lady or man(only the Pretender ones did, though Miss Parker told her guy she was faking ;o)!), both leading ladies didn't like the women and none have ever been seen again.
Mr. Lyle	Tempus (the time travel guy)	both are the classic 'love to hate' character, both are very sarcastic, both dress very well - Tempus' blue and silver outfit and Lyle's clothes in Red Rock Jarod aren't counted here! - both have cute little sidekicks, all the main characters hate them and both know heaps about the two main characters pasts.
Little Bob (The Pig from Ranger Jarod)	The pig from Smart Kids	both appeared in only one episode (okay, now I'm reaching :o}) both surprised either the leading lady or man.

I think...I think that Miss Parker never did stop being his friend, but she wantedto impress "Daddy" so much that she'd do anything to be accepted by him.

I think...Miss Parker and Jarod aren't friends because of Mr. Parker. He would nothave encouraged his daughter to be friends with Centre property and wouldhave discouraged it. After her mother died all little Miss P wanted to dowas gain her father's acceptance and love like her mother loved her and"Daddy" said it was wrong so she she stopped seeing him and let her fathermake her hate him.

I think...She never stopped being his friend, the only reason she is trying to capture him is so that she can get out of the Centre! Reason being;She has a gun, has pointed it at him, but has never fired it @ Jarod. Atleast not until the 'Bloodlines' episode. Maybe now she has stopped being his friend (cause his dad is 'mommy killer'). But until this time I belive she didn't have a real big dislike towards him.

I think...Ever since I started watching the show I thought that about Angelo. It is not that he is great looking or anything but there is something about him. Sometimes I wish I could hug him.
