A little about Ambrosia

Hello :o),
I'm Ambrosia - but you knew that already didn't you -, I'm 17 (24/04/82) and live in country Victoria, Australia - though I'm moving soon closer to Melbourne. I have just finished year 12 (last year of High School) and am waiting not so patiently for my results to come. After this year I *hope* to get into uni and eventually become a teacher.
Now I'll explain my handle, lots of people don't get it, lots do, and today, I just feel like typing :o). Ok, so in Ancient Greece (yes, I *used* to be a Xena fan but my addiction to mythology has nothing to do with it) Ambrosia was the food of the Gods. A mortal could become an immortal by eating Ambrosia, and all sorts of things like that happened with it. I thought the myth was pretty and ... that's really all there is too it... Gee, seemed like more in my mind - small mind ;o).
The song playing - or that should be playing depending on your patience, computer soundcard and geocities working - is 'Stay', by Lisa Loeb it was and still is one of my fave songs. I would have put my all time fave on, except it was about 5MB and by John Farnham (Australians cringe and foreigners - to me anyway - say 'Who?' so... ;o))
In November 1998, I was lucky enough to have stumbled onto the NBC home page in time to see the ad for the Andrea Parker chat and, thus, was present when the lady of the hour was answering questions. And I'm happy to say she answered one of mine :o). Sure, sure, it was a two letter answer, but it was an answer none the less, and I was happy all English class :o)! I was also just as lucky early in 1999 (January) when the Daily Planet Pretender Page held a chat with Jamie Denton (aka Mr Lyle) this time four of my questions were answered and I was hyper all the way to Melbourne (Mum and my friend quickly got sick of me LOL). Well after all these lucky breaks, I was bound to loose out sooner or later, and it happened on the 6th of March 1999 in Asylum when Ryan Mirriman attended a Real Audio live chat - at least thats what I understand it to have been. I missed the chat completely but thanks to Ana and Reese of #thecentre (on Undernet at mIRC), I was able to get a transcript of highlights typed up by Ana in mIRC. And so I've got a kind of 'run down' of the event here.
But I was lucky again (!), on the 18th of May 1999 when Jon Gries and Patrick Bauchau, chatted in TalkCity, I had one question answered and my transcript of that event is here. During September/October 1999 (I don't know or remember the exact dates) there was a series of Pretender chats hosted by AOL. Not being an AOL user, I was unable to attend, but I have from all over the place, gathered transcripts of the events. They can be found, here.
In August of 1999 Snowy's Lounge hosted a chat with Amir Aboulela (AKA Gar), the chat was a 'jump on in' style and was HEAPS of fun! I had four questions answered, the transcript of the event can be found here. Also there was another Ryan Merriman (in DegiChat) chat in this style, I made it to this event (yay!) but I didn't ge a question answered (pouts) but I did get a transcript :) here.

I own twenty-three Pez Dispensers, I collect them (though not for any Pretender related reasons as my brother likes to tell people): Garfield, Bugs Bunny Smurfette, Papa Smurf, Brainy Smurf, Odie, Gonzo, Pebbles, Miss Piggie, Kermit, Speedy Gonzalas (from Malta and my 'Thomas is no more' 'commemorative' Pez), Sleepy Garfield, Mickey Mouse, Jerry (as in Tom & Jerry), Darth Vader, C3-PO, Pluto, Goofy, Dino, a bug like character from The Pink Panther, that sad dog I forget his name (he's Disney and has a son I think) and two Yodas (becuase one broke), my fave.
If anyone happens to have a sound file (either of wav, avi, au, MP3, or Real Audio) of the Valentines song played at the end of Gigelo Jarod while he and Miss P. are on the phone, or even knows the name of it or who it's by... could'ja be so kind as to send it my way? I really love that song.
