Megumi Hayashibara versus Lisa Ortiz

Who will win the bout for best voice actress of Lina Inverse?
-------------------------------------

VERSUS

ROUND ONE: Megumi Hayashibara...

Megumi was born on March 30, 1967, so she's not that old. She is in good health to go up against her opponent, Lisa Ortiz. She is 5 feet, 1 inch tall so although she is not very tall, her her speed will probably help her in the battle. Plus the fact that Megumi weighs about 100 pounds even... that makes her speed even greater, this is a major advantage when fighting heavier and slower opponents.
Megumi has a lot of experience with both acting and voice acting. This is a major advantage. A few anime series that she has been in are Bakuretsu Hunter, Evangelion, Gundam, Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikkoku, Macross Plus, Project A-ko, Saber Marionette J, and of course, Slayers. There are countless other anime series that she either had a small role in, or a huge part. This gives her a lot of experience points in which to use in the battle against Lisa. And if those experience points weren't enough, Megumi has even MORE experience in live action roles. She is like a SUPERSTAR in Japan. And on top of acting, Megumi is even a singer!! She has tons of albums out in Japan. With this much experience, how can such an opponent be defeated??? Having Megumi in a Japanese anime series can pretty much guarantee that it will be a success. Megumi's popularity in Japan is simply astounding!!!

ROUND TWO: Lisa Ortiz...

Lisa is still in college (or has just recently graduated). So her age is somewhat younger than Megumi... so naturally you expect that she will not have as much experience as Megumi might. Over here, voice acting isn't as popular as it is in Japan. So unless you are a complete anime freak, you probably never heard of Lisa Ortiz. Lisa's height is 5 feet 7 inches, so she is taller than Megumi. Her weight is also 125 pounds, so that would also make her heavier than Megumi by about 25 pounds. So you can expect Lisa's speed to be slightly less than that of Megumi, however, Lisa's strength is her advantage. Since Megumi is faster and doesn't have that much strength, Lisa has got to use whatever strength advantage she has to win and beat the crap out of Megumi.
Lisa doesn't have as much experience in voice acting or even live-acting as Megumi has. Lisa has been in the following anime series: Gall Force: Eternal Story, Record of Lodoss War, Battle Arena Toshinden, Battle Skipper, and of course, Slayers. Lisa's singing ability is unknown... she doesn't have albums like Megumi and she doesn't have as much experience with live-acting. Although Lisa is studying to be an actress in theatre, right now she is unknown of by the regular public. Lisa has many disadvantages when it comes to acting and popularity. It seems almost unfair that the two of them must go up against each other in battle. But they must fight nontheless...

ROUND THREE: The Final Battle...

The final battle begins. Megumi attacks Lisa with her amazing speed. Lisa, slower than Megumi, has trouble blocking it, but her size is her advantage. The blow doesn't hurt Lisa as much as it would have hurt Megumi and Lisa is able to keep her balance. Lisa smacks Megumi with a powerful blow to the back of the head while Megumi's defence is slightly left open. Luckily for Megumi, she is able to quickly dodge the attack just enough to minimize the damage by half. Megumi then uses a special move, her singing ability. She screams a blood curling scream of music in Lisa's direction. Lisa is forced to sit there and defend the attack. She has no counter against singing. Once Megumi finishes her special move, she rushes towards Lisa with her speed, preparing for another attack. Lisa is ready and attacks Megumi with her acting experience using all five anime series that she's ever voice acted in. Unfortunately, Megumi has a counter for this move. Megumi uses the countless voice acting roles that she has had which can be up to 20 times more powerful than Lisa's 5 anime series role attack. Megumi bombards Lisa with her special anime series role attack and thus, destroys Lisa completely. Megumi has won the battle.

AFTERMATH: Post Battle...

The fight basically turned out the way you would expect. Lisa Ortiz does not have as much experience and popularity as Megumi Hayashibara does. Megumi has much more skill at acting, and tons more experience. Lets wait a while before these two have a rematch. Lets give Lisa some time to improve her skills and become a better actress when it comes to voicing Lina Inverse and her other roles. Perhaps one day, Lisa Ortiz will be a name that is very famous in the United States... and if that day comes... only then will Lisa have a chance of winning against Megumi.
