The British Soap Awards 2000 were hosted by Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan on Wednesday 31st May.

Villain Of The Year - Gerard Kelly (Callum Finnegan)
Best Comedy Performance - Sarah White ( Bev McLoughlin)
Best Storyline - Philip Oliver and Jennifer Ellison with their life of crime
Best On Screen partnership - Dean Sullivan (Jimmy) And Sue Jenkins (Jackie)
Spectacular Scene Of The Year - The Millennium Club Explosion
Best British Soap - Brookside

 

When Gerard Kelly (Callum) heard he had been nominated as Villain of the year, he thought it was lovely that people had taken the time to vote, and was looking forward to the awards this year. Also it was his birthday the same day as the Soap Awards.
