Tamara's past projects include the following television and feature film credits--- "Phoenix", "Has Been", "City of Industry", "Sour Grapes", "Girls In Prison", "Set it Off", "Louis Clark And George", and "Blind Side".
Tamara praises writer/creator Steven Bochco for regularily casting her in many of his primetime series which include "NYPD Blue", "Profiler", "Mike Hammer", "Private Eye", "Murder One" and "Civil Wars".
Her other television projects are comprised of guest appearances in "Beverly Hills 90210", "Hang Time", "Team Knightrider", "Payback", "Ace In The Hole" and "The Book". She once auditioned to appear on "The Love Boat", which was her favorite series, growing up. She tried out for the part of a mermaid dancer but unfortunately, she was not chosen. She also provided some voice-over work for commercials and for an episode of "Seinfeld", for which she was "the girl with the cough". Yet, she never once appeared on camera during that episode. She is currently looking to start voice-over work for cartoons. In 1991, she participated in theatre work, in the play "How The Other Half Loves", for which she received a Dramalogue Award for best lead actress. Currently, Tamara can be seen on the CBS soap opera "The Young And The Restless". She stars as Alice Johnson, a troubled woman from the wrong side of the tracks, fighting to reclaim the adoptive daughter she left behind.
Recently,the emotional battle for young Cassie has finally drawn to a conclusion. After a lot of soul-searching, Alice surprised everyone by selflessly facing the judge and delivering a tearful revelation. In a heartbreaking manner, she admitted that she could never provide for Cassie as well as Nick and Sharon and could never offer her everything she deserves. She understands that Cassie would be devastated to be taken away from the home she feels so secure in. Having considered all these aspects, Alice has requested to withdraw from her custody plea. Still recovering from the painful outcome of the custody case, Alice has recently swallowed her pride and has brought herself to admit that she is feeling lonely. With a little persuasion from Sharon, Alice reached out to her mother and the both of them have agreed to reconcile and return home to Madison together where they will attempt to share a mother/daughter relationship as they have never experienced it.
