Lady G offers a variety of editorial services, including:

Line editing

Thorough editing ("book doctoring")

There is no reading fee. However, Lady G does not wish to be inundated with complete manuscripts and asks that potential clients follow procedure carefully for her convenience and theirs as well. If you wish to make use of Lady G's editorial services, please follow these steps:

Email Lady G (see below) to inquire as to her availability.

Snailmail Lady G your first chapter, synopsis and outline, or in the case of other than books, whatever you and Lady G discussed in email. Also enclosed up to one page explaining what kind of service your manuscript needs. Be as detailed as possible. Be sure to enclosed a self-addressed envelope with enough postage on it for Lady G to return your manuscript to you. Foreign clients please enclosed sufficient international reply coupons, available at your local post office. NO MATERIALS CAN BE RETURNED WITHOUT THE SASE. Please do not send handwritten materials or materials typed on such a dirty ribbon that Lady G can barely read it. Please do not send your original either; Lady G doesn't mind photocopies as long as they are clear.

Lady G will read the materials and email you, at which time she will state what services she thinks the manuscript needs. If this is different from what you think it needs, discussion will ensue! Once a decision has been reached, Lady G will quote a firm price and an approximate deadline. You will of course be free to accept or reject her terms, and Lady G always listens to reason if you feel you need to negotiate. However, Lady G's fees will be based on those suggested in the current Writers Market and she suspects you will find them quite reasonable.

Lady G does not edit individual poems but will edit complete books of poems. She will not write research papers, as that is illegal and unethical. She is, however, available for some kinds of research.
