Here are three poems from Lady G's first book of poetry, Naked on the Page.
CABIN IN THE WHITE MOUNTAINS

Driving up the White Mountains
you, me and Oggi
(may her ashes rest in peace)
from the hangover heat of summer
into the brilliance of autumn.
Oggi shivered outside your grandmother's cabin.
The lake was cold. We drank all of it,
you and I in our cupped hands and Oggi with her long tongue.
I almost blew us up trying to use the old gas oven; you saved us.
Did we sleep well? I never sleep but the house was at once
musty and crisp, and the silence may have lulled me.
You and Oggi slept in a tangle of man and dog: your love
transcends seasons, transcends memory, transcends mere death;
I see you still in her fawn arms.
EMERGENCY ROOM

Degrees Fahrenheit: I arise
cold, according to mercury
but later burn. The numbers lie;
blood pressure, pulse rate: all lies.
What else must be measured? My age,
not how long I've walked on this earth
but the difference between now
and the year of my birth. I'm young!
Later I'll be old. Weight, blood, height,
all are taken. If despite this
they detect disease, injury's
recognized, diagnosis made,
more complex measurements are read
to prove me well, dispensible.
I may awaken dead, or cured
of all habits, therefore perfect.
The disney snow spun slantwise
and the rabbits were volkswagens
scrambling from pookah lots
in parkas, darting down driveways
under the picturesque onslaught
of star-shaped thunderbolt flakes
that plopped into drifts as pure
as pop art, as clear as cartoons
in color, on a screen, larger than
anyone's life, stronger than snow!
