I read a great deal of fanfic, but there are some stories that really stand apart from the others as being especially good.  These are a sample of the stories that I have most enjoyed.  There are also many well-written NC-17 and slash stories, and although I believe they have their place in the world of fan fiction, there are none here.  I prefer the Fanfiction Place to be accessible to intelligent people of all ages.
