Supreme Chancellor Valorum
Finis Valorum has used most of his life to become Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic. His family has great history inside policy and centuries ago another Valorum served as Supreme Chancellor. But as Finis Valorum receives the post the goverment has grown full of bureaucrats and lots of bribe. When the Trade Federation invade Naboo Valorum secretly dispathches two Jedis to negotiate with the Neimoidian leaders. But the negotiations fail and the Jedis are almost killed. They later return to Coruscant along with Queen Amidala and other representives of Naboo. Amidala addresses the Senate in order to get help. But when the bureaucrats step in she is forced by Senator Palpatines advice to put a vote of no confidence to Chancellor Valorum. He feels he is backstabbed but is of no use. Palpatine is later elected as Chancellor and Valorum quietly resigns to a small planet to live the rest of his life in peace.
