In a resent announcement from NEC comics, they stated that starting Janurary of 2001
the Tick Comics will be in color! The color issues will begin in an all new Tick #1.
NEC stated, ". New England Comics Press will be publishing
an all new ongoing Tick series for 2001! And the best part? It will be
bi-monthly AND IN COLOR! Thats right the Tick and all his friends, sidekicks, and
evil doers will be jumping into the four color universe with the start of
the new year. Written by Marc Silvia and drawn by Marc Sandroni, this all new
series will ship with 2 "variant" covers equally collated to give everyone a
chance to get both editions of this sure to be hit series."

In the new series the Tick will be fighing Thrakkorzog and follow him to his own dimension
which is in color. Upon the Tick's return he finds out that he brought the color back to this dimension.
NEC continues, "the Tick returns home only to find he has unleashed the dread of full
color upon his own universe! How will this "coloring" affect the Tick and his
pals now that they know what they look like in full blown color? Changes
o'plenty are ahead for our cast of true blue heroes as they deal with this universe
shattering event. It's an all new year, it's an all new Tick #1,...and hey, it
only took 14 years in the making Tick fans."
