Like many people, we have been wondering why there hasn't been a new issue of the Tick at our local comic shop. Rumors are that NEC has canceled the Tick series in order to put out their new comic series, "NEC Dark". The news comes from a comic shop employee that "The tick series has been discontinued".

According to NEC, "NEC Dark" will consist of four titles based on real life events. There is no confirmed statis on how this will effect the Tick. Nor is there any confirmation that the Tick is canceled. Going off of past events, when Y2K the comic came out the Tick comics lost quality and were delayed. This is four new series of comics, I belive we can guess what might happen.
