                                Karisma's happiness knows no bounds. She is

                                all winning a National Award for Best Supporting Actress is no joke. That also in a out and out
                                commercial film. Karisma has won the National
                                Award for her performance in 'Dil To Pagal Hai'.

                              The blue eyed actress has given a very
                                commendable performance in this movie. Her role
                                was very challenging in the movie. She was pitted
                                against two very seasoned artistes Madhuri and
                                Shah Rukh Khan. But the courageous Karisma
                                took the challenge. She gave her best shot to this
                                role. With her energy and earnestness she made
the role of Nisha absolutely lovable. It was a role which was refused by actress like Juhi
Chawla, Kajol, Urmila Matondkar and Manisha Koirala. Nobody wanted to play a
second fiddle to Madhuri Dixit. Everyone was afraid that they would be overshadowed by
Madhuri. However, Karisma was willing to try her acting skills in this role that had a lot of
scope to perform. So she said 'yes' to Yash Chopra. Though everyone felt that she has done a mistake by accepting the role
she stuck to her decision. She worked hard for the film and ultimately her Awards have proved everybody wrong.
