Now, if you're wondering where you should go for any current non-website Wallace and Ladmo activity, like if the play reopens or Pat signs a new record deal, it won't be this page anymore. That information can now be found on the "News" page. And speaking of news, there is some new news now on the "News" page that's not nothing! No, nevermind, not here. Go to the "News" page, Emmy!
So, what's new this week here? Well, not much, I'm afraid. I've been working on a few small details, mostly concerning the appearance of my BraveNet tools like the chatroom, classifieds, forum, etc. I do have a new, shorter url to bring you to this site, now (if you haven't already set a bookmark here). http://clik.to/ladmo will take you to the coverpage of this site where you can choose to either enter the main site or the no-frames site. Either way, you'll wind up looking at the now-familiar image map of the Wallace and Ladmo Show set which IS the main website. The image map page in both versions is named "home.html" but the No Frames version is hosted by FortuneCity.com at the original homespace for this site. Because of FortuneCity's banner advertising, I had to find a different host for my framed pages and I feel very lucky to have found CyberCities.com.
So, that's about it for current updates on June 26. Keep reading if you want to know something about the history and evolution of this website. And remember that your browser has a "BACK" button.
| I've been working on a tribute to Wallace and Ladmo ever since they went off the air. But in January 1998 I created my first Web Page, and in October 1999 I got serious about the approaching tenth anniversary of the last Wallace and Ladmo broadcast. I didn't think anyone else would remember, but on December 1st I found out that KPHO would be broadcasting a special tribute to the Wallace and Ladmo show right after broadcasting a 50th anniversary tribute to the station itself. The date for the broadcast was December 4, which was KPHO's 50th anniversary. I hurried to get my unfinished site online, and right after that I had two months of problems with my computer as I tried to install a video capture card, new SoundBlaster Live, and Windows98. When I finally had my computer working properly again, I divided my time between my band site and this one. My band site at the time was the major link into this one, since my band is named after a character from this show. When the Wallace and Ladmo play debuted at the Desert Foothills Theater, I could only manage to attend the final performance. But I was so impressed with what I saw that I was inspired to completely redo this site. And most of the existing site has actually been written since March 19th, the date I saw the play. Most of what I had was scrapped as my new design unfolded. So that's where I stand now. I'm still working on this site as often as possible. But mark my words, what you see on this site is the result of many minds which came together, interpreted by my fingers on a computer keyboard. One of the major changes was that the site became more visual. My decision to use the '80s set as an image map really was influenced by the play, which used the '80s set even though the story took place in 1964. Kudos to whoever's idea that was. Another major change was that this site became the major gateway into my band's site. I hope nobody gets upset over that, but the monster in the window was MY personal challenge to myself in this site's design. And so this site has become a workshop/learning laboratory for myself. Keep checking back, I hope to keep it coming! Thanks for watching. Bye, now! |
