There are two versions, the English translated and the original Japanese version. In the Japanese version there are a lot of puns because one word can have two meanings (e.g a word in Japanese that means pig can also mean slipper) which pretty much accounts for some of the weird jokes, because they don't translate too well in English, but there is still plenty of humour that will make you love that endearing little Chacha.
