What sign is Jo Andres? How about Lucian?

Also, it's hard to say which signs get alons with each other, cuz I'm a Virgo
(Earth) and the majority of my friends (or the ones I like most) are Fires,
especially Aries and Sagittarius. So I guess we'll never know.

Adam Sandler and Steve must be good friends cuz Steve is in every Sandler

i have nothing to prove or disprove this... but trying to rate our

Unfortunately, Parting Glances is extremely hard to find. My search for
this movie took over a year and a half, and I only found it when I was
bored waiting for friends to find a movie to watch that night. (It wasn't
the video store I frequented at that time.)

If you are in college, I would suggest checking out the media library or
see if they can do an interlibrary loan. (Hey, my mother's a librarian,
so I have to pitch it.) Oddly enough, this is how I managed to see
Mystery Train. I would have enjoyed it more had I been on a nice couch.

I rented Parting Glances from Blockbuster in San Francisco. If you can't find
it in a video store, then your library might be able to do an interlibrary
loan of a copy.

I'm from Valencia, CA, near the theme park Magic Mountain, about 30 miles away
from L.A.

Steve's role in Wedding Singer was short but grand in my opinion. I'd watch
it again. Plus I really liked the rest of the movie. Question: are there any
Steve pics in the soundtrack of Vol. 2? There are 2 pics in Vol. 1.

First of all, I got Parting Glances from www.reel.com for - I think it was $18

couldn't find it in any of our video stores :(

Second, the Steve movie I would watch if I could only see it for one last time
- - hands down, Trees Lounge. I love that movie. Every time I watch it, I want
it to continue, to see how Tommy turns out, etc. I just love all the
characters from the movie, not just Steve's character.

Third, what's your favorite Steve quote? I love almost everything that comes
out of his mouth, so it is hard for me to say - I particularly love the opening
dialogue for Desperado (which, I think was the first movie I remember Steve
being in0. I am working on recording some Steve quotes. I will let the list

I respectfully disagree with this. First of all, it's a matter of taste.
Some people might actually like Steve's performance in "Airheads", for
example, so to say it's "not worth it" is really not fair.

And what happened to Garland Greene (Con Air) and Carl Showalter (Fargo)? Why
aren't they on the list??? And what about Nick Reve (Living in Oblivion)?
There are just too many to list them all....

But if anyone's trying to decide what to watch, I highly suggest checking out
the filmography at The Steve Buscemi Worship Page:

http://dancy.franz.com/~virago/buscemi/

It tells you the size of Steve's role, so you'll know if you're running all
over town to find a movie that he's in for all of 5 seconds.

If anyone wants my opinion on any of Steve's movies, I'd be happy to provide
it. But I wouldn't take my advice on face value...after all, one of you said
you loved "Search for One Eye Jimmy"...and I hated it (well, except for Steve,
of course!)

Talk to y'all later,

Garland and Carl are not on my list of his greatest characters. They may
be larger than a lot of other parts he's done, but they just aren't that
special. As for Nick, I can't believe I completely forgot about him. I
guess I should have checked my filmography, but I went off the top of my
head instead. Hence, I forgot Phil Hickle of The Adventures of Pete and
Pete, as well.

Parting Glances and almost any other movie would be relatively easy to find in
big cities like SF, LA, NY, etc. I found my copy easily there.

I'm looking for posters with Steve on them. Can anyone tell me some titles
and/or places to buy these?

Airheads was not such a bad movie. Yeah okay, it was pretty dumb, but it was
also rather entertaining and had some funny parts too. Steve's eyes were
beautiful, what with the long hair and mustache and all. And he was onscreen
a lot, so that was a definate plus. People are too harsh on that movie.

In responce to the "What's Your Favorite Steve Quote?" I'd like to say that
every Steve quote is my favorite. I haven't heard them all so I can't decide.

Is there any place on the internet or anywhere else that I can go to find what

I can't say that I have just one favorite, it's more like favorite lines
from each movie. Two of my favorites are his line in Armageddon where he's
talking about the geological structure of the asteroid and everyone's
looking at him kind of funny, and another is in ConAir when he's singing
as the plane is going down.

Parting Glances:
I was lucky enough to find a copy of Parting Glances at my local Blockbuster
last week. I was wandering with no idea of what I should rent when I saw the
copy. I was shocked since I didn't expect to see it available for rent at a
Blockbuster.

Sandler:
Does anyone have any information as to whether or not Buscemi will make an
appearance/cameo in Sandler's "The Waterboy"? The only thing that went
through my head while watching the previews was "Is he going to be in this
one?". I'm glad that others have noticed the Buscemi/Sandler connection. Can
anyone recall if Sandler was part of the SNL cast when Buscemi made the
appearance in the "QT's Welcome Back Kotter" skit when Travolta was the host?

Homicide:
Lifetime is currently running episodes of Homicide: Life on the Streets. They
ran the episode with Gordan Pratt, along with the two episodes leading up to
it, last month. I would try the Lifetime web site to see if they show the

First of all I'd have to say that my favorite Steve movie is IN THE
SOUP, and my favorite Steve quote is from THE WEDDING SINGER when he's
watching the Boy George wannabe and says, " Ooooh, I *like* her!" I
can't quite remember when it was that I first became a fan of Steve's.
I think it may have been after seeing ED AND HIS DEAD MOTHER. But,
before that he was only "that guy with the EYES and the TEETH", to me
unfortunately. And I feel bad for everyone who has so much trouble
finding PARTING GLANCES -- I had been walking past that movie at my
local Blockbuster for *years* before I became enamoured by Steve. I
even used to walk past it and think "That's that funny lookin' guy
when he was younger!" But, of course now I feel differently!

Hi everyone,

I think I may have mentioned this a long time ago, but I know a lot of
you are new to the list so I'll say it again.

Since "Parting Glances" has a homosexual theme, it is easier to find in
places with a large gay population. The Blockbuster near me actually has
an "alternative cinema" section, and they had it there. So if your local
videostore has a separate section for "alternative" films, it might be
there. Also, if there is a gay part of town nearby, perhaps a video store
in that area might have it.

You can also order it at this site for $29.95...

Steve may not be in the movie alot, but he's so cute in it! In my opinion
this is the 2nd cutest he's ever looked, the 1st is Twenty Bucks. I loved
The Big Lebowski, I unfortunately didn't get to see it in the theater. The
closest city by me (Pittsburgh) didn't even have it. Atleast I got to see
it on the first day it came out. I haven't rented The Wedding Singer yet,
but I did see it in the theater. Everybody has a waiting list for it. I'm
glad they have a Hollywood Video where it's guaranteed to be in stock.

I just have to say that I love Airheads! I watch atleast part of it every
time it's on tv. I also agree about the Armageddon quote. I loved it!

Airheads was not such a bad movie.

| I can't say that I have just one favorite, it's more like favorite lines
| from each movie. Two of my favorites are his line in Armageddon where
| he's talking about the geological structure of the asteroid and
| everyone's looking at him kind of funny, and another is in ConAir when
| he's singing as the plane is going down.

Hi --

I just wanted to say that I saw a clip of "Frankie Goes to Hollywood"
a few of weeks ago on "Access Hollywood". It was really cute. I think
most of the clip (if not all of it) was in black & white. Part of it
showed Steve and Frankie in a trailer watching TV. Steve then thanked
Frankie for inviting him over to his trailer to watch TV. Like I said,
it was cute!

Later,

Hi, just wanted to see if anyone has had any luck in getting the huge Steve /
Armageddon poster (other side Liv Tyler). I wrote to the general manager of
my local theater asking him to please give me first consideration if he was
able to let the displays go out to people.Unfortunately, I heard that they
sometimes have to send the posters to $1 theaters. I did however, bid (and
win) on an Armageddon button that was worn by theater employees as part of the
movie promotion! It is a great pic of Steve in the orange suit. I haven't
received it yet, but I saw a scanned photo on the auction site.

If I were forced to choose my absolute favorite Steve movie...I would
have to say that....I CAN'T CHOOSE! It would have to be a four way tie
between Twenty Bucks/In the Soup/Living in Oblivion/Trees lounge. If you
notice, my fav. steve movies are the ones that let his true self shine.
Even though I love hilarious psychotic drunken steve(FARGO, RESEVOIR
DOGS, WEDDING SINGER), I can't help but prefer the films that show his
sensitive BUSCEMI side...does anyone know what I mean? Or am I just
projecting my love for Steve again?

Before I forget, I just recently saw FARGO for the first time...and well
to tell the truth...I thought it kinda sucked. The only good thing about
it was Steve...and frances McDormand...she was pretty funny.Does anyone
else out there agree with me...or am I talking out of my a** again?

truly sorry about taking up space and time,
lily
