Subject: Visions of Armageddon
Hey Everybody,
I got another Armageddon book. It is so cool. It's a big book. IT ACTUALLY
DOESN'T IGNORE STEVE!!!!!!!!! It has tons of color pictures and quite a few
of Steve. It's called Visions of Armageddon. I can't remember the author but
I think it was Michael Bay or something. I'll check when I get home and post
the author tomorrow.
I also got an Armageddon t-shirt at Suncoast Motion Picture Company. It's a
black shirt with a flag and the Armageddon logo. The stars on the flag have a
picture behind it, I think it's a space something shuttle or something.

Hey everyone,
There's a mention of Steve in the Premeire magazine with Uma Thurman on the
cover. Look in the section where they have a story on Armageddon, and it
talks about how they badgered Steve into playing Rockhound. It's under the
"Usual Suspects" heading in the article.

Subject: author/ A WARNING (Armageddon)
Hey Everyone,
I was wrong about who I thought wrote Visions of Armageddon. It says A
Michael Bay Production in big letters across the bottom and since I didn't
have it in front of me that's what I was thinking of. All it says is
HYPERION PRESS.
There really is no author since it's pretty much all pictures but there is a
bunch of text explaining the making of the movie and such.
Let me warn everyone
WARNING: THE BOOK DOES SPOIL THE ENDING!!!!!!!!
I REPEAT: THE BOOK DOES SPOIL THE ENDING!!!!!!!!!

Subject: Steve pics in the book
Hey there guys,
I figure a lot of you won't buy the book but if you are in a book store you
might pick it up and look through it so I'm going to help you out. Here are
the Steve pics in the book:
page 16- Group shot of astronauts in space suits
page 51- Steve in background wearing a hat and squinting behind Bruce Willis
(there is also a mention of Steve and his character Rockhound in the text of
this page)
pages 52 & 53- This is one huge picture taking up two pages of Steve standing
on some huge contraption. He's got both arms in the air and it seems like
he's yelling something and in one hand he's got one of those horns that is a
can. He's wearing shorts(!) and boots and he's got binoculars around his neck
and he's in a hat.
page 55- Black and white photo of Steve wearing that cute hat. He looks so
cute in this picture!!!!!
page 60- There is a pic of the guys being told what their mission is and they
are all sitting at tables. The problem is the pic is taken from high up and
from behind so you can't tell who is who or if Steve is even one of them but
from the caption and what is going on, one of them should be Steve.
page 69- Astronauts in their space suits standing in a row facing forward.
Steve is first from the left. Good shot of him.
pages 78 & 79- Big 2-page pic of Astronauts in their gear in a circle. Taken
from above them. Steve is actually on page 79, he's the first astronout on
the top of page 79 right where the fold of the book is.
page 89- Steve in gear (looking really really good!!!!!)
page 169- Steve posing for the camera with WIll Patton, Bruce Willis, Liv
Tyler, Ben Affleck, Ken Campbell, and Michael Duncan. Steve is hugging Bruce
Willis around the waist and smiling and all the guys are in space suits.
pages 172 & 173- this a huge shot of the whole cast and crew on the mission
control set. I do not see Steve anywhere but there are tons of people in this
shot and I'm not sure if I'm just missing him or what. If anybody finds him
please let me know.
page 174- Bottom middle picture, of the guys in weird silver suits. Steve is
second from left.
page 175- Bottom picture, second from right, Steve duct-taped to a chair and
wearing that weird sliver suit again.
I don't think I've missed any but let me know if I have.

Subject: The Steve Buscemi Game
Hey everybody,
Remember my question of the day a while back about casting Steve in different
movies? Well, I was searching for Steve stuff on the net and came across
this. It's the Steve Buscemi game where you put him in a movie he wasn't in.
You can add your own submissions and some of you guys had really cool ideas on
the question of the day thing so you guys should enter your ideas or just read
what other people came up with.

Hey Everybody,
Yet another interesting thing I found on the net about our man. This is a
photo of Peter Stormare, Steve, the Coens and Frances Mcdormand, I forget
where they are. Steve tells of the Coens reactions to Steve's question on how
they wanted him to look in Fargo. Poor Steve. Here's the address:

Hi everyone,
I was watching Good Day L.A. yesterday morning, and they showed a big
pull-out of a poster from the Los Angeles Times on Sunday. If you still
have your Sunday papers lying around, check them for this poster. Steve
is featured on the far right side with the same phrase that's on the large
poster we've heard about ("He's in it for the money.").

He Played Banderas's buddy, Buscemi.
(Here's the spoiler.)
And got killed about halfway through the film (as far as I remember).
Not really a big part, but he had that great monologue in the beginning.

Subject: re: Buscemi as Buscemi in Desperado
Steve's name in Desperado is actually Buscemi! That movie was responsible
for Salma Hayek's moment of fame coz of her sex scene w/ Antonio. After
that, she appeared in much bigger roles. Dismissed as coicidence? Ahh,
that's my theory. Salma also appears in "Dusk Til Dawn" which makes a lot
of references to Desperado like the crotch gun.
I think Salma should have done her sex scene with Buscemi!!

Hello, all
It's been a while since I've added anything to the mix, so here it
goes -- I found an interview with Steve Buscemi and Seymour Cassel (at
the '98 Florida Film Festival):
Just click here to read it.
You can also find an amusing article about what Steve's ARMAGEDDON --
"he's doing it for the money" description may *really* mean.

I followed Kelly's advice and went to that website
(www.theslant.com/arts_media/articles/buscemi.html)
boy, am I glad that I did!!! It was sooo funny! someone mentioned the
"Church of Buscemi" and he said it freaked him out!!! :)~
He also said he didn't get on the computer, so that answers the question as to
whether or not one of us is a "mystery" Steve!!! :)~
I also like the fact that Seymour Cassel calls him "kid"!!!!
Check it out!!!!

I personally like the sentence following that one, "Not that I don't shoot
people for real." It sounds like he's saying he does shoot people for real.

Hi,
I meant to also tell you guys where you could find the article about
the humor in the Steve/"Rockhound" description, "He's in it for the

If you go to www.indiewire.com and search for "Buscemi" you'll find a
few nice articles that mention him, including the one I'm referring to.

I was just at the movies and saw a preview for Armageddon. Steve was actually

name! And get this, they pronounced it correctly! I can't wait to see this
movie!
I saw Desperado this week too. What a great performance.

interview them there. However something got in the way. I forget what

Subject: Trees Lounge Soundtrack/Armageddon Poster
Hi everyone!
This is the first time i'm replying to the digest. I Just wanted to say
that I was in a used record store the other day, and by accident,
stumbled across a copy of the Trees Lounge Soundtrack! It has a great
spread of Steve inside, and the songs are great! It includes some dialogue
from the movie.
Also, when I went to see the X-Files movie, I saw a series of huge
posters for Armageddon. Gracefully, one was of Steve! I would give
anything for it. It was HUGE! Like something I would hang on my ceiling so
that when I wake up in the morning, he's staring right back at me. Does
anyone know where to get one like that? I was thinking of asking the
theater for it.
