Heheh, it sounds worse than it is. At the time, I happened to have several magazines in my car which contained small pictures of Steve. I just brought them inside and showed everyone. And no, I don't usually make it a habit of carrying around pictures of Mr. Buscemi; it was just coincidence. I promise! :)

I know of the 2 shops that you mentioned in Hollywood. I got photos from Res Dogs from both of those, and I've seen the Res Dogs autographed picture (me.. drooling).

I SO agree -- I couldn't see what hold she would have over anyone? And poor Steve was acting his heart out in this, while everyone else was such an amateur. And that makeup job.... **sigh**

As for the Trees Lounge poster, my local video store promised me one of their copies when the vid first came out -- they even put my name on the back! When I went back, and it had been taken down, I asked about it and they had thrown it away. I was so mad!

- Liisa <---- now will have to pay $25 for a poster she should have gotten for free!

P.S. Who's been bagging on In The Soup? I must have missed that! I thought it was a great movie -- it was what made me fall in love with him!

Ok, I'm trying not to cry from laughing so hard. Tonight's episode dealt with some jumper who got shot somehow. The great thing was that Munch (Richard Belzer) notes that "with those beady little eyes and ? moustache, he looks like a cross between Steve Buscemi (pronounced boo-shem-ee), ?, and Edgar Allen Poe." Kellerman (Reed Diamond) replies "aren't they all the same person?"

Sorry I missed the word before moustache and the name of the third person in the above quote. Did anyone else catch this? Did you find it funny?

Haven't seen this episode, but wasn't Buscemi in an early episode of Homicide?

AARRRGGHH! I missed that! I was switching between homicide nash Bridges! I have only seen Homicide twice (last night and a nother time) and both had Buscemi! The first ws the one were he starred as "Gordon Pratt" (?). That was before I knew about Steve, but I remember thinking he was a good actor and looked cool. . .

{Note: Only Steve's name was mentioned in last night's episode. He, himself, was not in it.}

Well, anyway, if anyone finds out when either will repeat, drop me a line. Thanks alot!

Ed

P.S. I think I know the exact SCENE in which he said that, but i switched right in the middle!!!! :(

Steve was in an eposode of Homicide called "life on the street"

I was also looking through an old tape of mine and found a Saturday night live eposode of when Quentin Tarintino hosted, in which Steve played in a skit. It was a type of Res dogs style in a class room. I was just woundering if anyone else saw this, because I noticed people talking about different shows that Steve appeared in and no one mentioned this one. It was probally about late 1996 sometime after "Pulp Fiction" I thought that it was really cool that he was on the show.

Yes, I did see this when it aired originally. The skit was based on the old tv show called _Welcome Back, Kotter_. John Travolta was hosting; and the skit featured Steve as Mr. Pink, as well as David L. Lander reprising his role of "Squiggy" from _Laverne & Shirley_. I found the skit fairly humorous until we got to the bit with "Squiggy." Even Steve couldn't save it at that point.

More importantly than the skit, I noticed him during the closing of the show as just hanging back not doing anything since the cast was singing "We'll be together..." from _Grease_. I thought he should have joined in or slipped backstage.

As for not mentioning shows, there are a great deal of Steve projects that have yet to be discussed. But, most are listed at several sites.

If this is the episode I think you're talking about, it was a cross between Res Dogs and Welcome Back Kotter. Unless, I'm thinking of a show hosted by John Travolta. It was so long ago, I can't remember. But I could kick myself, because I saw it when it was originally aired, and I don't remember Steve in it at all. BUT, like I said, it could be I'm thinking of a different episode. I have, after all, been known to be wrong!

Alright I was wrong. It was welcome back Kotter. I watched it again after I wrote this. But I didn't notice Steve in the background, I didn't really look either. Marni I would really like to know how you have so much information about Steve. I noticed that if anyone has a question about him you have the answer? just wounderin'

During the closing of the show, the cast and guests gather on the stage to say goodbye. Before Travolta broke into the song, and was followed by the other members of the SNL cast, they thanked the guests, including Steve and David L. Lander ("Squiggy"). I don't recall if these two were standing together, but I do know that Steve was on the left side of the screen (stage right for those who are more comfortable with stage directions). He is obscure in the beginning, but when everyone comes back to the stage at the end of the song, he's there in the same spot just hanging out most likely because he wasn't told what the plan was. (After hearing him sing in _Somebody to Love_, I think he would have fit in perfectly with the rest of them because he has a good voice. At least one article I've seen has mentioned that he was a lead singer of a band for a year, but they disbanded due to infighting.)

> Marni I would really like to know how you have so much information about Steve. I noticed that if anyone has a question about him you have the answer? just wounderin'

Well, the answer is quite simple. I have many friends around the world who have let me know when Steve is in a magazine or newspaper, and have even sent me copies in return for favors of getting them other things they would like. Add to this the fact that my brain does not remember anything it should (ie- things for finals), and there is a ton of space that must be used in some manner. This space is used for the memory of trivial facts that can only be good if one goes on a game show such as "Debt" where they have a category named "The Movies of Steve Buscemi."

Does that answer it?

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have a bare-bones web page up now for Steve. The address is: http://www.fortunecity.com/lavender/rothside/79.

The films and tv pages are pretty much standard, but check out the links page and let me know what you think. (Those of you with pages, don't steal my links! Just put a link to my page of links. ;-) ) If you find any that don't work, let me know.

Last week I saw the trailer for THE REAL BLONDE on ET. Didn't see Steve anywhere. However, I've read two different interviews with Tom DiCillo where he says that Steve has a nice size role -- no cameo!:) Since he directed the film, I guess we should take his word for it. At least, until it comes out and we can see for ourselves.

Check ya later,
Kelly

P.S Congratulations on the new Steve site. You go, girl!

{Thanks for the compliment. Marni}

From: Dog Star Girl

Hi everyone,

For those who haven't seen the February issue of SPIN, there is a feature called "The Spindie 50" which lists the 50 most indie people in film today. Steve is #9, up from #13 last year. Each person is rated based on many factors (they give a list) having to do with lifestyle and career choices, and there is a small write-up for each. They say that Steve has the "most indie teeth this side of the Atlantic." Heh! There is also a small picture of him (woo!). For curiosity's sake here are the top ten:

1. Harmony Korine
2. Parker Posey
3. Lili Taylor
4. Todd Solondz
5. Harvey Keitel
6. Harry Dean Stanton
7. Crispin Glover
8. Jim Jarmusch
9. Steve Buscemi
10. Wim Wenders

By the way, I'm new here. I live in Ontario, Canada, and I'm a relatively new fan of Steve Buscemi. I'm still getting caught up on all of his movies, or at least the ones I can find :) I'm glad I found this list!

Bye for now,
--Sherri

Okay, if no one else will bite, I certainly will. What is this "Debt" thing? Are you serious? My curiosity is raised.
