Subject: Looking for Trees Lounge

Hi there,

Has anybody seen Trees Lounge for sale anywhere??? Can't find it
here, maybe that's because I'm in Canada, I don't know...but I've
rented it a bunch of times. Seems like it should be for sale! If it's
possible that someone could find it in the states (preferably
used...MUCH cheaper!) I'd love to be able to work something out.

thanks,
Megan:-D

Subject: Videos/Attraction to Steve

Hi guys! I just joined this list and let me say I am estatic! Most of my
friends don't quite understand the Steve Buscemi fasination (although they like
his acting).

Someone asked about LIO being on video. It is probably like Trees Lounge -
still at the $80 price. I don't know when either one will be released at a
more reasonable price, so I usually just record them off Showtime. I would
rather have the real videos, but I can't quite afford $160!

Now, about why women find him attractive - I dunno. This my friends REALLY
don't understand. I think it is the personality he conveys in his roles. The
first movie I remember seeing with him in it was Desperado. I just love his
role in that movie. After that, I started specifically looking for his films.
Also, forgive me for this, but when I was little, I had a crush on Don Knotts
and if you think about it, Steve looks a little like him. I cannot believe I
just admitted that!

Glad to be here,
Libby

Hey,

I just read my indiewire newsletter and it said the that LOUIS AND
FRANK a the Los Angeles INDEPENDENT Film Festival is the Rockwell
movie that we've all been waiting for. This will be the premiere. It
also said that there was some sort of malfunction that made people
think that it was sold out, but there are tickets left. So, those of
you who can attend the premiere, do so and report back to us
unfortunate ones.

You know, if only I'd gotten my butt over to Buscemi pages just a little
earlier.

I TOTALLY missed Mr. Buscemi on SNL. CAn any one tell me how it was?
I'm dying to see it. I guess I shall have to watch for the rerun.

I do declare,

I love my job!!! Last night the projectionists were throwing out some
trailers and I was able to get my hands on one for the Big Lebowski. I
have the actual film they project in theaters. I have added this to my
collection which previously consisted of Con Air and Armageddon. If any
of you have the chance to work in a movie theater, take it! Just look at
the benefits!!

Hi Everyone,

I just got through watching H:LotS for this week, and they showed scenes
from the next episode. Having read a little about what the Steve directed
episode is about, I was able to infer that it was the same one.
Therefore, set your vcr for Friday, 24 April, on NBC at 10 EST/PST.

Hello,

Just thought I'd let people know that there a synopsis for LOUIS AND
FRANK at the LAIFF web site. You can find it at:
www.laiff.com/98/louisfrank.html

Steve's part must be rather small, because his name isn't among the 8
cast members that are listed.

Hello,
i just rented Somebody to Love, and i must say that Steve Buscemi was
really cool in that movie. I had no idea that he was going to play a
trans-vestite. It was really amusing. if you haven't seen that movie
yet, i suggest you do so...other than Steve, the movie isn't that
bad...i've seen better, but it's entertaining.

my one friend told me recently that steve was on that nickelodeon show
"the adventures of pete and pete" as ellen's dad. i was just wondering
if anyone knew if that was true.

thanks a bunch-	bridget.

{Yes, it is true that Steve was on "The Adventures of Pete and Pete" as
Ellen's father, Phil Hickle. He can be seen in the episodes titled:
"Apocalypse Pete," "X=Why?," and has a cameo in "Space, Geeks, and Johnny
Unitas." MH}

Hi,

just thought that I'd let people know that at the indiewire web site
(www.indiewire.com) there's a LAIFF wrap-up section in which there is
mention of Steve's *cameo* in LOUIS AND FRANK! Cameo!!!??? And to make
matters worse, Alexandre Rockwell said that he doesn't really know
when he'll be able to release the film! AGH! I hope next time I have
GOOD news to share.
